The Snow Lion had been in New York less than a week and0 he wasn't going to settle down into any human routine until he'd explored the place first. He'd been delighted to learn about the Coney Island; his last province - no, they called them states here, he reminded himself - his last state had been landlocked.
That was why today he was meandering along the coast enjoying the evening and the emptying beach as families packed up and headed home. There were still a lot of people left, but it was a pale comparison to the city which had been really crowded. The Snow Lion wasn't used to so many people all crammed together into the same place. Honestly, he kind of missed the Tibetan plateaus and mountains he'd actually never seen. That had been another luckier version of himself, but he still had the memories so it was fine. They were happy ones.
Looking at the water he decided he's play in it when there were less humans around. It was then that he spied the play-structure. Oh man, he hadn't been on one of these in ages! Dga' trotted off to the playground which he had thought was empty.
