Glibt remained silent as Mark spoke. She hadn't known all of this, that Mark carried these particular scars with him from his previous relationship. She had baggage of her own, of course, of the felt-his-lover-get-assassinated variety, but all that translated to was intense worry whenever she thought Mark could be in danger. And she could understand jealousy, of course she could. After all, she'd had her own little freak-out when she'd found out that Mark was still married to Ate.
She sighed lightly and caught Mark's eyes as he pulled her closer. "I can understand that. We both have scars from our previous relationships. But... I just- you know that Harvey's in a relationship, right? I mean, he may tease me but I'm never, ever going to be who I was when I was with him. I'm not Cris anymore, I'm not some energetic little kid who bounced into his shop like an eager puppy, wanting to help him fight for my cause. And while he's the same Harvey I knew, I- I love you. I love him as a friend, yes, but the only man, god, I want to marry, to spend the rest of my existence with is you. I know I've said all of this before, but I guess I just wanted to get that out there again. That you have nothing to worry about when it comes to Harvey. He's my friend, my fighter, but nothing more, will never be anything more."
Glibt knew she was rambling and she raised her hand, gently pushing a piece of hair back from Mark's forehead before she cupped his cheek lightly, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. "All of that said, however, I still don't want to make you feel like... like she did. Does. And while I can't think of anyone else I would want for my best man... again, I don't want there to be anything involving our wedding that won't make you feel as happy as I will be, standing at the alter with you and vowing to be with you and only you for as long as we walk this earth." She kissed him again, just a tad harder this time, trying to make her point with actions in case her words failed. "If you're sure you're alright with it, then I'll ask him, but all you have to do is say the word and I'll figure out someone else to ask."
