"It would be," Mark admitted, eying the well kept bits of flora and fauna that surrounded the garden and the few large trees bordering it. "But there's the whole getting people here thing. We have the jet, sure, but it's a hike, even for our friends and family. Granted, it might be that we don't want our friends and family there." It was a joke, of course, but they both knew how stressful the presence of others could make their lives. Wasn't that the reason for this long weekend to begin with?
"Besides," he went on. "I thought we were thinking New England with the leaves and the changing." And his mother, but that wasn't to be mentioned. He knew wherever they chose to be married, Columbia wouldn't be far behind. "I guess half of it all depends when, doesn't it?" Mark knew nothing about planning a wedding, in fact it was becoming quickly obvious that Mia knew more about it than he did. However, he knew enough to know that invitations were expected at least a month in advance.
Thinking about it was slightly overwhelming. The prospect of the 2012 Elections were almost less so.
"Shit," Mark glanced over at Glibt as suddenly he couldn't keep his mind from shooting ahead one year then two. "We have to-- I have midterms in November and 2012's going to start Summer 2011. We have to--" He paused, a sudden burst of laughter and a grin coming. "We have to do this. Soon."
