Just great. Damn spectacular. She thought with annoyance. Why did people seem to like approaching someone who was clearly just not interested? It reminded her of the others she had run into that morning. And it had been the reason she had left without so much as a word. Not even a Sorry, but I have to go. Henbane simply left them. Now, however, she was finally comfortable and she seemed to be stuck with someone who clearly had no idea who she was dealing with. Perhaps she could offer a treat…
Henbane made a face at the book, clearly uninterested now that she realized exactly what it was. “Yes,” she agreed, still with a quite indifferent tone. Closing the book, she set it on a table next to her without looking at it again. “Idiots if they don’t know how to pass a test.” Not that Henbane ever attended school, but she’d heard enough to know she wasn’t interested at all.
Blue eyes looked at the hand as though it were some unnamed, foreign object. She made no indication of leaning forward and taking it into her own. She did not like these unnecessary pleasantries; they made her insides cringe. That name seemed familiar but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. Still, she felt that power the other woman gave off. Henbane knew she was some sort of goddess, but she quite uninterested to say the least. “Nisha Banesworth,” she said simply, still without accepting the others hand. It was unnecessary in her mind.
