WHO: Natalie Godfrey & The Red Baron
WHEN: Wednesday morning
WHERE: The Baron's apartment
WHAT: Natalie comes to offer a supportive hand to the complete nutcase who thinks he's an immortal war hero.
When Natalie had lamented her position on her journal, she hadn't expected to the replies to say that she was the one who was wrong. A dozen strangers all clamoring to tell her about how they were muses or daughters of gods or working for Greek heroes. Natalie read them all and felt like she was the one who'd most definitely gone crazy. Was this some big joke everyone was in on? Had she just been attacked by a squadron of cosplayers and LARPers?
One of the comments had made sense to her completely though, and as she reread it over and over again she felt incredibly guilty for the way she'd left things. It took a complete stranger to tell her what she should have known: If Conrad was, in fact, crazy, then that meant he needed her more now than he'd ever needed her before. To abandon him during this crisis made her a truly awful friend.
On Tuesday night she didn't manage to sleep at all, and so on Wednesday morning she found herself at Conrad's building, ready to knock on the door. She raised her hand to even do it and then drew it away slowly as she thought. It was likely that Con might not want to see her after last time, or he might not even be home.
So instead of knocking she sat down in the hallway with her back against his door and rang his number.
