I've got a feeling...
Who: Daphne, Echo, and Narcissus
What: Dinner, discussions, and introductions
Where: Narcissus and Echo's place
When: Saturday evening
Warnings: Possible language, most likely not.
Echo was in an awesomely good mood. Her date with Dionysus had gone really well, and she had been floating on cloud nine when she had come in last night. Had Narcissus asked, Echo would have happily explained how she and Dionysus had gone to a movie and then out to eat, and that Dionysus was a total gentleman who had given her a lovely rose, but that most importantly she was perfectly loyal to him just as she'd promised she'd be. Still, he seemed annoyed at her, so she instead had just found a vase for the rose before checking on Magnus and going to bed. She knew that with Daphne coming over she'd need to be up early to make sure everything was perfect.
Her sister-nymph was coming to visit; to spend time with her, meet Narcissus, help her convince Narcissus to consider moving, eat with them, and possibly stay over. She had let Narcissus know that morning and while he didn't seem nearly as thrilled as Echo was she was sure he'd be perfectly welcoming to their guest. She desperately wanted Daphne and Narcissus to get along so she could finally have someone who understood exactly what she saw when she looked at the father of her child, mainly for validation that she had indeed made the right decision. Much as she loved Narcissus and felt confident that they could raise their child together in a house of love, she still sometimes found herself wanting to see Himeros one last time.
Wearing a long but simple purple dress, she puttered about the kitchen as she considered how they could prepare the venison that Daphne would be bringing. She had gotten lots of fresh vegetables so she could do either a roast or a stew, but she hadn't been able to get Narcissus' attention long enough to get his opinion. Oh well, so long as tonight went well she'd be happy. She was just so excited that two of her favorite people would finally be meeting. This could mean that once little Peanut made his appearance in the world he'd have a mommy, daddy, and auntie who all loved him, which was exactly what Echo craved. Family, for both herself, Narcissus, and their son. It would all work out, it had to.
