"It sounds as though you've seen much of the world," Nephthys said with a smile as she sat down across from him while she waited for the water to boil. "But there is still much beauty. It just becomes too easily lost with the advance of technology." She was jealous of the mortals for the way they had the entire world laid out at their feet like this. It was such a new thing still but most took it for granted. Planes could take them across the globe in mere hours and news from distant lands could reach them in seconds. The entire world had become a much smaller place, but it seemed that much community had been lost with that, to Nephthys.
"Don't become to caught in the past though, or you may miss all the offers that the present holds out for you." He was still so young, after all. They all had so much to look forward to.
