Who: Morgause/Mordred/Gaheris/Alex
Where: A table at a largely abandoned sidewalk cafe
When: Evening.
Rating/Warnings: PG or thereabouts Bumped up to an R now. Uh, yeah..
It was chilly and damp, but Anna didn't mind chilly and damp. It was pretty quiet, for a weekend night in the city -- why this cafe was tucked into this neighborhood, she couldn't quite fathom. But they let her sit at the sidewalk table with coffee and scotch, and they also let her smoke in peace; this was enough.
She'd been drawn to this part of town some weeks ago, and had yet to find out why. No matter, she was good at waiting. She'd been trained to wait. So wait she did, and watch. Every once in a great while, that voice, that sense she'd first awoken to as just a girl, whispered in her ear and pushed her in the right direction. The right direction for an opportunity. The right place to find something.
So she waited. Watched the people pass her by, hurrying through the slush, off to someplace else. Laughing, some clinging to one another. Caught up in the spirit of the season. Her coffee had long since gone cold, but the scotch was just about right. She took a sip, sat back, and waited until the voice told her what the next step would be.
