Who: Atheism and Conspiracy Theories
What: Having a beer and bro-ing out, mostly
When: Tuesday night
Where: Atheism's apartment
If, hypothetically, some lucky mortal had come to know of his existence and if, hypothetically, said mortal was some sort of expert in manifestations of masochism, that mortal, hypothetically, would have had a field day with Atheism's apartment. Call it a morbid curiosity, call it keeping the enemy close, but Atheism couldn't help the stacks and stacks of religious publications, the boxes and boxes of copies of various religious texts, and the display case - well, he probably didn't have to keep the display case. He probably didn't need a copy of the dead sea scrolls, or a fragment from the shroud of Turin, or a piece of metal from a crusader's shield, but he had them. Out of reach, of course, he didn't know what would happen if he touched such objects of intense belief in the God he so despised, loathed, feared. He told himself that it was sick to find some comfort in keeping these things so close to the place where he was most vulnerable. However, as his fingers slid down the glass that kept him from ever accidentally touching his collection, he did not have the willpower to get rid of them.
His home wasn't exactly the kind of place one would expect to find a young graduate student, it was too rich, too expensive. It looked like the kind of place where some aging billionaire would spend his final days, watching the little people on the streets below while breathing in purified oxygen through a tube.
"John," He grunted under his breath as he bent down to pull the case of bud from his fridge, "Get your ass over here, I'm going all emo again."
