"Why Greed," Mona said with a smile suddenly bright as noon, her eyes shining with near-delight. "Are you saying that you'd like me to help you break a contract?" A jolt ran up Divorce at the proposition. She should have known it'd be something like this. Not Greed's visit -- they'd gone centuries in between seeing one another before; a month or two was nothing, or at least that's what she'd told herself. No, the lack of surprise was all regarding Ash -- Raum. He was conniving, that one. A deal between him and Greed was hardly unexpected.
The goddess peered down at the smug little Sin, canting her head and cocking her hip. She felt, if not good, then so much better. With her ex-husband sitting across from her, Desmond was almost quiet. Now if she could just make her fingertips stop itching for want to reach forward and grab the connection that was hers to manipulate... Not touching was always the hardest part.
Mona took a step forward, cutting into Greed's personal space for a moment before she eased to the side and sat next to him. She didn't grin. She didn't look as smug as she wanted to. She just sat demurely beside him and exuded confidence. "Tell me about your deal with Ash, then. But first, let's hear what you have to offer me, shall we? Nothing comes free, sweetheart, not even from the ex." A pause. "Especially from the ex."
