It should have been awkward,to be under such an intense scrutiny. It wasn't even something that Lust was unfamiliar with, but it was the first time that she felt such an odd curl in her stomach at the words.
Absently, she reached forward and fingered the seam of Desmond's shirt. Her cheeks felt unexpectedly warm for some odd reason, and she found herself at a complete loss for words. There were always people lavishing praise, for her beauty, for her talents, anything and everything it seemed as long as it earned them the right to grace her bed. How this time was different than any other befuddled her, not something she cared for, but it was hard to complain when the man before her was staring at her so.
"You know you don't have to do that, don't you?" Her words were soft as her fingers strolled up the line of buttons, her knuckles brushing gently against his jaw. Simple touches. No deceptive infusions of her power or anything purposefully seductive, she just marveled at the simplest brushing of skin against skin and the tingling charge that seemed to follow in it's wake.
"But if I'm stunning, I honestly don't know what I could say in return. Charming, witty, so very handsome - and none of that even begins to color what a truly amazing soul you have. So many interesting things tied into a such a gem of a man. You've no idea how much I've enjoyed spending time with you." Where words had failed, she found that once she started, it was difficult to stop and it was difficult to not feel foolish after she finally ran dry, suddenly finding her drink so very interesting as a way to divert her attention a little.
