Raven was excited.

True to what he had told Fetish, he had gone and done some research before going to talk with Rave, wanting to do something fun and interesting to show he cared. He wasn't exactly all up on her scene, but the internet knew everything and quickly gave him more than enough to run with. Within moments he had submitted a vacation request to his superiors, purchased two tickets, and found himself seriously pondering his next move.

He had wanted to surprise her as soon as he got home by taking her out to dinner, but she got the jump on him by letting him know Fetish was expected over for a bit. That was fine by him, although he was never very good at keeping things to himself. When he knew Rave was distracted he darted up to their bedroom and hid the receipt for the plane tickets under his pillow so that he could show her them as they were getting ready to sleep.

He turned down the bed, checking on Erik one last time before calling to Rave that he was going to turn in for the night. He was practically giddy, and hoped she would be as well. Vacations together were always fun, especially the one he had planned.

To be fair, Fetish needed the grounding point before her evening out, from what little Rave could say before the other Goddess arrived. Dinner had been ready when Raven got home – frozen lasagna that was actually nearly as good as home made and garlic bread – and when they ate out as much as they did, this might have been better. Besides, it meant she could spend most of the evening curled up with him on the couch watching TV after Fetish left.

She had went for a quick shower before bed while he went about his usual routine, and shortly after he called for her, she appeared, damp locks of pink hanging around her face, a tank and shorts set tugged on. Even if she didn’t stay in bed all night, she usually saw him to sleep and snuck out. Nighttime was her time, and she liked being awake when he was home, and sleeping while he wasn’t.. somehow it made her feel closer to him.

Leaning in the bedroom doorway, her arms crossed under her chest, a smirk on her face. “I’m here, what were your other two wishes?”

It wasn't as though Raven had any issue with Fetish coming by, more like he was jumpy because he wanted to give Rave her gift but didn't want to make a big production out of it in front of her friend. He had been looking forward to spending some time with her now that things were clicking into place job-wise, but he didn't want her to rush her friend's visit.

He loved the sight of her shower-fresh looking all clean and pure. He smiled at her, beckoning her into the the room with a grin. "You have to come here for a moment, I have a surprise for you. I promise you'll like it." He didn't mind her getting up during the night, he only wished he had a different job so he could join her.

Her smirk was adorable. "My other two wishes are too freaky to say where Erik can hear them, so come here and I'll tell you."

She pushed herself out of the doorway and padded across to the end of the round nest-like bed. She crawled over him, on top of the covers instead of underneath, to keep them between his body and her own, even as her knees rested on either side of his hips and she sat up.

He seemed so unhappy that he couldn’t join her on her weird sleeping schedule – it had been easier when he was an EMT, and worked wonky hours. Probably tougher on him, in the end, but it seemed to match up with her sleeping/working/down time patterns a lot better.

“What.” She announces, rather than asks. “You know, we haven’t been together that long but I’m pretty sure I know your surprises.. Unless you’re about to tell me you used to be a woman, which isn’t that much of a shock as if you were human, because you know.. at least.. I can..” She trails off and beams, before leaning down to press a little nibbling kiss to the corner of his mouth.

He grinned up at her, shifting so that he could sit up and get a better look at her. She was utterly perfect, although she could be something of a tease. Still, he loved her.

It wasn't even that he was unhappy, more like he knew how important spending time with each other was in a relationship and he didn't want her to feel like he was ignoring her when he's rather not.

"No, I've never been a woman, though I have been an old man." He waggled his eyebrows, smirking. "I'm sure that's a turn on." He reaches under the pillow grabbing the receipt. "What are your thoughts on going on vacation for a week in June?" he asks, all serious for a moment. "Have you ever been to Disney World?"

“Oh yes, very sexy.” She replied with a giggle, and proceeded to nuzzle into his neck, to nibble along under his jaw. She hears the rattling of paper to accompany his question and looked back past his throat to see what he’s holding. The serious tone itself stops her and she sits back on his thighs.

A quizzical look is thrown to the paper and she reaches to take it out of his hands, or at least get a better look. June.. Disney World.. June.. Blue eyes widened and she gasped.

“RAVER DAY!?!?!” There was a squeal and she threw herself into him then, arms around his neck, legs squeezing his hips. “HOW DID YOU KNOW!?!”

"Oh yeah, I knew you'd be impressed." He laughs again, softly, his free hand coming up to play with her wet hair. He sighs when she sits back, hoping he's judged the situation right.

He lets her examine the receipt, waiting for the reaction he's hoping for. Her gasp spoke if realization, and he nodded happily as she hugged him tightly.

"I did some research when I was thinking about good places to visit. I already put in for the time off, too." He hugged her back, pleased that she was so happy.

She squeaked, bouncing in place even as she continued to hold on. She sat back again, though this time only to kiss Raven her thank you. Her arms wound around him his neck, the paper lightly tossed to one side.

When she broke away, she beamed at him. “Best. Boyfriend. EVER.” She decreed loudly and nuzzled her nose in next to his own. She had half a mind to go digging through her closet to start packing now, but realized it was probably still a little too early to do so and truthfully she’d rather stay right here and lavish her attentions on her pretty birdy.

He rubbed his hands down her arms, kissing her back quickly as he basked in Rave's excitement. It made him feel good to know she was pleased with his hard work.

He shook his head, laughing slightly. "I'm sure there have been better out there, but I try." He kissed her again, holding her close as he continued to speak. "We'll be there for a week, getting there on a Friday and leaving on a Friday. That should give us plenty of time to check out everything we'd wanna see."

“And we should miss a lot of the crowds on weekdays.” She nods and curls in tighter to him. Best. Boyfriend. Ever. She swears. No matter what he says. She squeezes her arms around him, nuzzling at his jaw. “I love you so much.”

Happy Rave! What could be better than a day at f’ing Disney World, with the park full of her followers? Seriously, that’s just.. that’s just amazing.

"That's totally what I was thinking." He wraps his arms around her, rubbing her back as she nuzzles against him. "I love you too, but I think you knew that."

Raven is over the moon thanks to her reaction. It was better than he imagined it would be. "We'll have to figure out what parks we want to go to, and we'll have to see who can keep an eye on Erik. I know a few people to ask."

“We could ask Fetish, though I don’t know if her kitten would get along with him.. Or there’s Freyr, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind, and he’s really good with animals.” She rests her head on Raven’s shoulder, eyes closing most of the way.

“Sooo excited.” She squeals softly and squeezes him again, her arms lowering from around his neck to his shoulders. “Thank you, baby.. This is going to be so awesome.”

"I can ask Huginn and Muginn or possibly Jord, they're all good friends of mine and if Freyr isn't able to one of them probably could." He continued to rest his hand on her back, enjoying laying with her.

"I'm glad, I wanted to do something special for you." He grins, lightly kissing the top of her head before speaking again. "You don't have to thank me, I want to help you get stronger."
