WHO: Mary & Gabriel (& Open to those who might show up as well?)
WHERE: Gabriel's home.
WHEN: This evening.
WHAT: Mary is seeking strength in her time of need.
WARNINGS: Um... none. This will be fairly innocent, Mary isn't known for being "bad"
Fear, it wasn't something Mary felt often, usually the brave and steadfast one of the Apostles, it was she who remained at Jesus' side until the very end. She wept at the foot of his cross, and stayed behind to overlook his burial, and resurrection while the others fled in fear of being crucified as well. It was she who with confidence stood before the Emperor Tiberias and proclaimed the Son of God's resurrection to non-believers.
So why now was the woman laced with fear? It wasn't fear for herself that was what compelled her to seek out the Archangel, but rather fear for her followers and those she tended to. Mary sought out strength and reassurance at this time. She knew that this was something she would not be able to conquer on her own, and truly believed that with just a little support she might be able to fully help others.
Studying the address given to her, dark eyes looked up at the building that matched the address. Sighing heavily, Mary entered the building. It looked so normal that she could hardly believe an archangel lived here. Pushing the red hood off her head, she pulled the sleeves over her hands nervously. It was only within the sanctuary of a building did Mary feel comfortable to reveal her shaven head. The lack of hair was to forever remind her of the sins she committed before becoming a follower of Christ. Part of her wondered where the artists came off painting her with hair. After anointing Christ's feet at her sister's house, He forgave her sins, and as repentance, she cut off her hair.
Climbing the stairs, she came to the designated number. Glancing around nervously, Mary was having doubts about coming here. Should she have left the shelter alone? With such a threat that she had no answer for, was it safe her to leave her flock like she did? There was a threat, she knew it... she could feel it eating her up inside. She could feel her stomach turning with emotions that she hadn't felt in a while. Hand lingered over the door for a moment, closing her eyes a silent prayer of strength was asked. A silent prayer that was granted the moment her knuckles rapped lightly on the door.
