Not wanting to crowd him or come off as too weird, Diligence was maintaining a friendly distance for now. "You may not think you did very much, but for personal reasons I was trying not to use my influence this weekend and your timely arrival allowed me to keep that little promise." She paused, shrugging. "I debated leaving, but I wanted to introduce myself and formally thank you."
Diligence was still surprised at the fact that he did help, slightly stung by the recent amount of hate she had been feeling towards herself and her fellow Christians had left her with a bitter taste in her mouth. Therefore, she knew showing proper appreciation was the right thing to do in this situation.
