Diligence knew that at any moment a distraction could come, but she had no idea to what degree it would be. She was unsure if it would be something major or minor, but either way she was set to move. When the sudden explosion of drinks and food rained down on the offending idiots, she had to stop herself from staring in shock knowing that this was her chance. Still, for a moment she allowed herself to be somewhat amazed that she hadn't gotten splashed or anything.
Diligence quickly got up, moving past the trio with the ease of someone who was used to not taking up a lot of space. She risked a glance back at Caerus, smiling slightly at the young man who had come to her assistance. She was certain he had somehow engineered the crash, and wished she had such ingenuity, but knew that 'diligence' was about hard work and effort, and not about getting oneself out of sticky situations. In fact, in a weird way she couldn't actually bring herself to be angry that mortals would put such effort into harassing her, considering that at least they were doing something that involved work on their end.
She made her way outside, finding a place to hide until she could thank the young man for his assistance and perhaps learn his name.
