Diligence had been alternating between looking around for an easy exit and watching the door, waiting for her chance to move. She wished she had worn sneakers, but she had dressed for temple and not for running.
When someone walked in Diligence looked up sharply, noticing that the guys didn't break their stride. Either they didn't care or hadn't heard the door, both of which she found strange. It wasn't as if this was a huge Starbucks or anything, so they had to have seen the guy and just deemed him unimportant.
Deep down, Diligence was certain this was the person who she had been speaking to earlier. A contemplative look came over her face as she checked to make sure that she had everything she had came in with and that her bag was secured.
Thankfully, Diligence was in the habit of keeping herself in good shape - all the hard work she fostered had kept her lean and quick. She primed herself to be ready to make a run for it at the earliest opportunity, although she also wanted to make sure she found out who was being kind enough to help her so she could properly thank him. He looked like any other student, but she knew he couldn't be.
Diligence took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment, catching the tail end of a rather interesting rant about how much of stuck-up bitch she obviously was, knowing that her chance would come soon.
