Caerus was bored. Things had been quiet lately, and while he had done a few things, provided some good opportunities……he could always do with more. So, when he had the chance to be helpful - he took it. Of course he’d take it.
There was no one who could manage to keep Caerus where he didn’t want to be, it would be easy enough to help the woman - a stranger to him, actually. She hadn’t asked for his name, and he hadn’t thought to ask for hers. He didn’t really think it was necessary. He had a feeling she’d be easy enough to find.
When Caerus found the Starbucks she’d mentioned, he stopped for a moment and looked through the window. Unless he was mistaken - and really, he didn’t think he was - she was easy enough to pick out, as were the mortals she was having trouble with.
When Caerus was bored, situations like this one were all too tempting. All this woman needed was the chance to get away - all he had to do was give her the best moment in which to do it. He calmly walked into the coffeehouse, quietly looking around and thinking over his options. He wasn’t worried about any attention - his apparent age and the clothes he wore made him look like nothing more than an average student. She may notice him - which would be all the better - she’d more likely be prepared to run for it.
Caerus stopped near the counter, as though thinking over what to order, all the while keeping an eye on the table with the troublesome mortals.
