Life was hard for everyone during the Civil War, allegiances were made, friendships were broken. So many fell, so many suffered and so much anguish forced Emma to relive her time in Genosha. She attempted to save her students then, and she attempted to think of what was best for the students during the war. It was difficult and Emma changed a lot through that time. She grew stronger but she didn't change her ways. Tony knew her then too, attempted to convince her to register her students and herself, but she knew better. Emma knew what was going on at the front lines, Scott was there, and his pain was the loudest in her mind. As Tony continued to talk about it, blue eyes averted away from him.
"It was a hard time for us all, my dear. Don't stress yourself over it, it's over and done. All we can do is pick up the pieces we lost and rebuild." Her telepathic voice was very different from her speaking voice. There was something comforting in her telepathic voice, a dear friend of hers once said that her voice sounded like a choir of angels. It could bring peace and serenity to a hurting mind, but also terrifying and awesome destruction. It was both a beautiful voice and a horrifying voice. Great power laid within her telepathy, Emma was one of the strongest telepaths known to man-kind, rivaling that of Professor Xavier many times. It was no wonder many viewed her as a threat, her power was strong, and overwhelming.
"We all lost something during that time." Fingers traced over his jaw line, as her gaze finally returned to down at him. The world died a little when the loss of Captain America got out. A staple within the world, he was really the only hope that the civilians could cling to and losing him was a devastating blow to the world as a whole. Emma knew how close Tony was to Steve, the Civil War definitely didn't help their friendship, but Steve's fall helped Tony learn his mistakes. "It's over now and we can only look forward." Leaning down she pressed a kiss to his forehead.
Gasping slightly as she felt herself being pulled close against him, and that subtle poke once more, Emma could only smirk. "It's the only way I know how to play, Stark. I'm a Frost, dear, we never play fair." Nails dragged down his jaw line, and across his neck, before tracing her fingers lightly over that arc reactor. Head tilted to the side, feigning a coy look, as her back arched against his grasp just slightly, pushing her hips against his body.
"I love the attention, if all you want to do today is stare at me, I don't mind - I'm used to it." No lie there. With all the publicity that follows Emma around, having someone watch her all day would really not be anything new.
