"Can't ever spend more than five minutes without making a snide remark, can you, Doctor McCoy?" Spock said wihtout looking up from his PADD. His tone was monotonous and uncaring. His right eyebrow twitched upward for a moment as he finished his question. He'd spent his entire childhood dealing with comments like these. Why would he let them effect him now? This wasn't to say, however he enjoyed Bones' company. It was becoming more and more apparent to the half-Vulcan why the doctor was called Bones in the first place. If the man used a similar tone with his wife, it was no wonder why she left him. Out of sheer politeness and curetousy he kept these thoughts to himself. It was against rules and regulations to purposefully start a conflict amoung crew members. Not to mention, he found such statements juvenile and below him.
"To bring the conversation back to less trivial matters, the packages that our Captain were carrying held highly concentrated solid forms of Nitrogen that I requested for our next mission. His carrying them was actually an experiment to see if, worse came to worse, one person would be able to manage transporting all six packs. It seemed successful." he opened a window on his PADD and displayed the image of medium sized yellow container with black straps on the sides, like a backpack for Reena to see.
"I will breif everyone on the specifics of these packs when all mission members are present." he explained.
