Peter let out a chuckle, sitting back down. He looked around the table - his eyes pausing between Reena and Doug, the youngest Kessler was every so often shooting looks at her older brother, but that stopped after several moments.
"We spent the day catching up with our uncle at his office in the Strvanski Building," Mikey said with a smile.
"Uncle Eli said that he'd be leaving for Luna City at the end of the week but he's going to be so busy that he won't be able to see you off this time," Doug said - speaking up for the first time.
Reena, realizing that Spock was probably lost, leaned over and explained "Our father's brother, her works in real estate and his company is based in Luna City. He spends two weeks a month here and two weeks a month there," she said with a small smile. "I told you we had a big family," she winked to say that she hadn't been kidding.
"The other thing? Pete has something mysterious to tell us," Mike said with a spooky way to his voice. "Something he won't tell us until we were all here." Mike turned to his older brother. "So?" they waited. "Don't keep us in suspense her!"
Peter rolled his eyes at his brother. "Well I was hoping to wait till we got the vid link to mom and dad, but I got a new assignment with Doctors without Borders and we're heading to Kilanae 4. There's a settlement there that needs help. And I mean real help."
And the table went silent. That name. The planet was known.
"You're going where? You can't do that pete! That planet is known for its harsh weather and the last party died!" Reena was the one to speak up.
"The last party that was there was nearly 50 years ago, and they've set up a settlement they need doctors... I'm going."
