Reena chuckled, a sly smile on her lips. "Well I think we'll just have to put you in a computer simulation before you try the real thing." Yes she was being slightly silly, but she thought it was appropriate. This wasn't the ship. This was shoreleave. She nodded too his comment with a small smile. "It's really quiet and not a lot happens," she said, getting a far-off look in her eyes. "It's a really, really small town. With more crops than people," she laughed, of course she was kidding. It wasn't really a farming town anymore - there were two farms, Mr. Olsen's and the Gordon Farm on Ceder Road but it had that small town feeling, including the long main street...
She tuned back to the cnversation, hearing his comment. She shrugged. "I suppose. Either way you're here, and it's a good thing." They entered the tea house and Reena slipped off her shoes, bowing to the woman who was standing at the door, thanking her for her patience in her own language - after all they hadn't had to hold the table, but they had. She then preceeded to take the step onto the elevated floor - which was covered in wood - like the classic houses in Japan - the type that had movable walls. "It's nice isn't it?" she asked somewhat retorically with a smile. "They've been here for about eight years."
She moved back to the table - the Commander following her as she nodded in respect to one of the owners of the shop, before sitting down with her legs tucked under her. She had a much more reserved air about her when she was sitting here. This place was calming, just like home... well home when her brothers weren't there that was. She picked up the cup of tea waiting for her at her seat and took a sip before she placed it back down with a smile. She didn't usually put sugar in her tea anymore... this was so good.
