Her words confused him for a moment. And for a split second his eyes conveyed his lack of understanding. Was she flirting with him by saying he'd be able to survive anywhere? Then she added the bit about Virgina and he chuckled, thinking that any inclination he had had toward her being flirtatious was squashed by her saying he wouldn't be able to suvive her home-town. "Well, we'll have to put my Virginian survival skills to test some day, now won't we Leiutenant?" Spock smirked. "I would like to visit your home town."
"And if I didn't agree that there was more to life than work then I wouldn't be here right now would I?" he spoke staring at her through the corner of his eyes. He followed her into the tea-house and deeply inhaled as they passed over the threshold. He couldn't help but let out a soft "Mmmmmm..." which reverberated through his throat. The smells reminded him of his mother who made tea for him daily as a child. He looked around at the decorations, the cushions on the floor, the low tables and a smile played at his lips.
"I like it here..." he spoke softly as Irina lead him to her table.
