Just put the last bit of thatching on the roof. It looks, smells, and feels like home. I've even got all my socks all over the floor! That'll give my husband something to do if when he shows up. Merlina knows he can't stand a dirty floor. Burgie, would you and Charlie like to come to dinner tonight? I'm making eggs. On toast.

It's very fancy, I know. But there will be fruit juice in an assortment of flavours of your choosing!

Wonderful! When are you free, sweetie? I've heard you're quite partial to chocolate. I can whip up some digestives for us.

Whoa. Flashbacks to [Andromeda]'s seventeenth birthday party. Not that I was invited, mind you, but those invitations were swanky! Real gold leaf!

Especially to those people. Me and your grandpamum had the biggest bonfire at the end of the year. Burnt up all those stupid leftover invitations.

Oh! That is so sweet!

It was the prettiest, goldest bonfire in the world, wasn't it? Imagine how spectacular the birth announcements for a legitimate, accepted child would have been! Instead, you just got a spectacular baby. I think you got the better deal.

Absolutely! [...] We certainly did! But did I ever tell you that we did receive a birth announcement? I mean, sort of. Itching/boil powder in an envelope. Thank goodness for your dad. I was too woozy from all the baby-making hormones, I would've opened it straight up.

The Ministers helped end the witch trials of the 1910s. Muggleborns are adopted so they can grow up knowing magic.

Oh, sweetie. I learned magic at Hogwarts when I was 11, and I turned out just fine. And I got to grow up with my parents, who loved me very much. Just because they're muggles doesn't mean they shouldn't get to raise their own kids.
