Eris was already getting bored with the mountains. She wasn't all that interested in hiking right now and even the cliff jumping was getting boring as hell. It didn't help that she wasn't hanging around with anyone with the magic to break her fall on the more interesting dives but she couldn't bring herself to lash out at Juni while she was still angry with Bran.

She just didn't understand how he could possibly think it was okay to pull this bullshit on her best friend. She had never cared about him sleeping around or, hell, even the fact that they'd both slept with the same people on occasion, but she absolutely cared that he was adding Juniper to the notches on his bedpost.

Just as Eris was toeing off her shoes after coming in from the compound gym, she spotted someone coming into the living room from the bedrooms. She froze as she recognized her twin, her brow creasing in anger. With lightning quick reflexes, she picked up one of her shoes and hurled it at him.

When Juni had written to Bran the previous night saying she needed him, he hadn't hesitated. A brief flash of Eris being upset at his presence in her room had gone through his mind as he walked the halls, but it hadn't deterred him. He'd had twenty five years experience of Eris being pissed at him in some capacity after all, and the important thing right now then had been Juniper. It had been a long night, with lots of tears, and really after all of it there'd been nothing questionable or inappropriate happening in her bedroom. After they'd woken, he'd read to her while she worked on some sketches and patterns. He was leaving to get them both some food when a shoe thwacked into his chest.

"Jesus Christ, Khrushchev!" It was a strange facet of their relationship that he only called her a bitch when she wasn't actively acting like one, so the normal nickname was out for him. He knew she was angry, but what he didn't know was what to do about it. He wasn't going to back down, and he doubted she was either. She had good points, points she'd raised when she was older as well. He wished they'd stayed in the pensieve long enough to see how she felt about Ophelia, but he had to hope she'd calm down by then at the least. Unfortunately that was ten years away, minimum, and he wasn't planning on waiting that long. "What the fuck?"

"I wasn't close enough to punch you in your fucking face," Eris countered, all of her rage contorting her features into an impressively terrifying expression that would have had weaker mortals cowering at her feet. Sadly, Bran was usually an equal when it came to arguments. Hands on hips, she stared him down, daring him to act like he hadn't deserved it. Some nerve he had, really. It made her want to pick up the other shoe to toss at him but, for the moment, she refrained.

She was only mildly mollified that the shoe had hit him squarely on target.

"Well fuck, if that's your problem I could always move closer." No, Bran was definitely not scared of Eris' angry face. Or her threats for that matter, even if he didn't actually make a move to get closer. He might have his own doubts about it all, but he wasn't going to tolerate hers, nor give her the satisfaction of thinking she might be right. When it came to situations like this, an Eris who was right was intolerable. Never mind that he wasn't going to let himself do something to hurt Juni, but now he had the added incentive of disproving his sister.
