She had barely stepped foot in her own homestead since arriving in the wilds. Renee needed to be by herself, away from everyone. This was all too much her and she did what she always did. She ran. Her future was going to hold so much pain and death. There was a hope in that future, but it was already slipping through her fingers since nothing made sense in this world. Those thoughts were plaguing her during her waking hours. That evening she had heard the faint roar in the distance and had barely managed to throw herself behind a boulder when the world seemed to explode around her.
Renee had passed out. The ringing in her ears woke her up, well that and the pain. Chaos. Everything was pure chaos around her. Casting magic while being unable to hear had been tricky, but she had managed to get most of her wounds under control. Her sweater had been sacrificed to use as bandages from her upper left arm and her left shin. The plan had been to just sit until she could hear again, but the journals had other plans. Renee couldn't sit still when Erin was in danger or lost.
This was a stupid move. She didn't care though, she was going to be selfish and do her best to make sure she didn't lose anyone else. Erin had been her friend when she had been younger. Her breathing came hard as she ran through the woods, tracking her younger friend and avoiding accidentally blowing herself up. Thank Merlina she was a werewolf! This was hard enough for her, a normal human probably would have passed out by now.
"ERIN," she yelled in a voice that was muffled to her own ears. Suddenly she stopped in her steps as she closed her eyes and breathed in deep. A low growl escaped her as she turned blindly towards the scent. She smelled Erin and someone else. A deeper growl escaped her before her eyes flew open. There. She crashed through the underbrush and pretty much slid down unto her knees, hard, right in front of Erin.
"Erin," she held her arms open wide in a motion for a hug. "Come here, pup."
