epsilon block experiment

This evening, each of the Epislon Taken will find they have an instrument of a Seussical quality. Each Taken will also find an instruction booklet on how to play their instrument and one sheet of music to go along with it. And you guessed it. The sheet of music is Welcome Christmas. Once the Taken have mastered their instrument and the accompant song to their Captain's liking, they will find that the music of repeated Christmas carols and the song of the Who's will subside.

They will receive their instruments on the evening of 12/17, as well as their music. They have until the duration of this world to learn and perfect their carol. Upon perfecting it, they will stop hearing the continual Christmas music. A reward for your effort, Epsi's.

	Well Arion was really confused as first, since he can't read music. But he played around with it a little bit and listened to the song in his head and recognized his instrument's part. So a lot of it was figuring it out by ear, and trying to read the music until he got it right. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Ooooookay. Well...Vati's probably going to be real "Ugh" about this for a while because she doesn't know how to read music and she's really not good with musical instruments and "WHAT IS THIS?". I'm guessing if someone says something about the music stopping, she'll actually practice. Soooo...depending on when that happens, she'll probably take like...five days? idk. Until then. It will only be successful if Padma helps her, though. I'm p. sure. sdjkfansd

	They do have a large ~metal component (Fil so has his eye on that... GOBLIN HOLIDAY INVOLVES SMELTING AND BLACKSMITHING, YOU NEED METAL OKAY). Filius would definitely ask to keep the bell part afterward and possibly agree for that reason. He'd also volunteer for the carrying the heavy thing role because the manual labor beats not manual labor on this >.> (Reply to this) (Parent)

Lou has a freaking rolly chair drum doodle. She can't really read music for a direct note, but she's good for the delta note difference. So if the song goes C to F maybe she went D to G because like hell she's good at getting C right. She totally had way more fun than she should with it and was utter SHITE at the music part for a while, possibly because she burst up laughing partway through every time. But she eventually got it down.

Oh hey, Amity got good for something. All that playing music and singing together thing. Lily likely didn't start right away because she's been trying to climb the mountain and a large drum dun help with that. But by no means was she oooh lala right away because Amity singing wasn't so much about everyone being spot on as the beautiful harmony that built out of human imperfect voices. So you know, same kind of thing with the instrument. She figured Epsi wasn't just delivering it as a statement on modern art, and she's not anti-cooperative or anything, so she did work on it (thinking they'd probably have to give a ~parade or something) until succeeding.

	Lorcan practices and practices because he thinks it's fun and that the kids will get a kick out of it. He catches on pretty quickly. Harry is confused. He can't play an instrument or read music so he's pretty much screwed. He tries his best though. Oliver is pissed. He really really dislikes Epsilon xD (Reply to this) (Parent)
