Have you ever watched someone be completely captured by a memory? They don't move, as if someone pushed pause on their life and for a second you wonder if they're still breathing. You question whether or not they're there or alive because they're not. They've been transported somewhere completely different. Maybe it was a minute away, maybe it was a few hours, but more than likely it was eons ago in a life they no longer know.
Then they come back and they're not the same as they were when they left.
They come back and their demeanor shifts. They're no longer smiling or maybe they just started. They're happier or maybe they're sadder but they weren't where they were before they were taken.
They're shaking off the remnants of a time before this one and they're adjusting to the mixed feelings of then and now.
It's always really interesting to watch their faces and for a second I pretend I know everything there is to know about them and then it's gone again.
Like it never happened.

As of now, Peppers is officially open. Don't let the name fool you, we've got a variety of dishes, from sandwiches, to salads, soups, and more.
We'll be open Monday through Friday for lunch and dinner, Saturday lunch only, but we'll be closed on Sunday.
And if anyone is still looking for work, I could use a few more hands.

On one hand, I'm glad she's still here. I've been so worried, though I can't say I'm not still worried, given her state. But they shouldn't have left her with out him. He wasn't my favorite person, but they were a part of each other that no one can understand. I love my sister, but that was a whole other level of sibling bonding that I could never hope to understand. I just hope she's alright. I care about her.

I found her. Padma I know you said I shouldn't go looking but... I couldn't help it.
She's at the house. She's... I've never seen her like this before. Never seen anyone like this. It's frightening. I don't even know if she knew who I was. I got her to drink a bit of water and eat a little something but... It's like she's not all there, or even half there, really. She just sort of sat there, staring.
I'm going to stay at the house, on the couch, for a while. I don't want her to be alone. She only ate because I physically put the food in her hand and told her to, so I think it's best, just to make sure she's eating.
Perhaps we should rotate caring for her? I know you two have your shop, and I'm working nights, but I'd really rather she not be alone. Especially for mealtimes, and honestly I'm afraid of what she'll do whenever she comes out of this state.
Would either of you be up for it?
