Who: Narcissaunwind & Dracoukr
What: alterna-mum and son meeting.
When: Saturday, after their conversation in Draco's journal.
Where: Epsilon, Unit 18 (Cissa's room)
Warnings: sad?
Narcissa had not glanced at a clock since arriving at the compound, so she had very little concept of how long she had been here. It felt like quite a while; her confusion and frustratingly futile attempts to disguise her identity had made the first span of time here seem quite a bit longer. It could have been an hour, or five. The whole place was creepy, cobwebby and dimly lit. At least the cold was less bothersome, because she had arrived wearing a jacket; only her hands were cold, but she put on the mittens that had been provided.
Her mind was reeling with different theories, different ideas about how she might get out of here or use this place to the advantage. For the most part, she had settled on the latter. Wherever she was, it seemed that they were not going to unwind her here. If something changed, she would try to adapt, but for the moment she had begun to accept that this place might in fact be safe. Not strictly a way out of her predicament, because Andromeda had said she still existed at home. She had not been able to find out anything about her future, but it surely had to be better than the one she had in her son's world, where she was murdered in front of his eyes.
Unwinding was not such a terrible way to go, especially by comparison. But at least in that world, there had been people sad about her passing.
When he'd said he was coming to find her, she flicked her wand to unlock the door and open it a crack, inviting him in. Dangerous, perhaps, but even if he was confunded (as she'd originally theorized) she was still fairly certain that he was as much a prisoner here as she was. And considering the fact that she had been brought here from inside her own house, she was likely just as safe with the door open as she was with it closed. Safety was all relative.
