"Don't you start about alcohol," she said, elbowing his side. "You're the one that took advantage or poor, drunk, me in Greece. Even if I was a willing participant..." She grinned then.
She took another bite of her banana and pulled her legs up to her chest as he spoke, nodding, then grinning. "A ha," she said. "Look who's on the other side now. Wanting something you can't have. Sounds very familiar. I wonder why."
Reg smiled then, and got a bit more serious. "Just because you want him, doesn't mean that you should have him. If it gets to the point where you truly only want him, and he's not okay with that, then you need to let him go. You're never going to be happy if you're settling for not being the only one when you really want to be. Trust me. I know these things."
Rolling her eyes, she finished off her food and tossed the skin off to the side to throw away later. "I am not an old maid," she said. "Though if you'd have asked my mother before I came here she would adamantly disagree with you. Finding me a match was going slowly, and she was very worried."
"Any takers so far?" she asked then. She couldn't help but be curious, after all.
