"I can't speak for most worlds," she sighed. "But yes. He is. My world, kidnapped world, Colour world... It seems a constant." She didn't like it. None of it. The fact that he was allowed to walk around as if he had all this power. And that was what it was. Assumed. It was mind games becuase he couldn't do anything else. But what he'd said... "Any one of us would kill him where he stood if we were given the chance." She pursed her lips shaking her head again. "But the rules forbid it. Probably better for him." She remembered once Peter himself back home had made similar comments. Killing him. It only reminded her more that she needed to talk to James about what he knew. The future. She was curious.
As long as they stayed in their patrolling area the odds of them running into Lestrange were small. And she was glad for that. In some ways the halls of Hogwarts were soothing at this time of night. "It's almost too calm," she murmured. She half expected someone to come out of the dark and cast a pranking spell at them...
But there were more serious things to handle now. She found herself in a very similar position. Her husband not being here was only half of the problem. She listened to Peter, slowing down her pace to more of a stroll. This wasn't the kind of discussion that could be rushed, no reason for the walking to be rushed either. "Petunia never really seemed... comfortable here." She said honestly. She had made a serious effort to know her. It had been the closest thing she had gotten to a relationship with a Petunia. Certainly not hers. But now she had the Lilys and Luke. And they WERE practically her siblings. Especially James' Lily. There was a pause for a moment.
"Maybe it means that this place is home." she said finally. It was a rather detatched statement and she knew it. She still had her wedding ring on, not that she noticed it most of the time. "I've been dealing with... similar questions. None of us are the same people we were when we arrived. Part of me thinks that we don't belong there anymore. And that thought...it terrifies me. That there is our lives here that are just so... different." She paused again. "I'm... not sure that I want Severus to come here." She looked sad. "I guess the question is happiness versus what we left behind."
