Lily practically jumped when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She'd been lost in her own thoughts. Hadn't even heard Peter coming down the stairs. It took her a second to see that it was him, and she felt herself relax a bit. His question took her by surprise. Moreso when she noticed where in the common room she was. Hadn't she been by the window a minute ago? Pacing... Had she really started that again? This was really bothering her. That. Being here. It was one of the habits she'd picked up waiting for news that everyone was back when she'd been stuck in Hogwarts without any word that her husband, her friends were back in one piece. She'd hated being here teaching for the first few months while everyone else was out there fighting! But she only paced when something was really wrong.
Lily shook her head, putting a smile on her face. "Yeah," she nodded. "I'm fine. Just got caught in some old thoughts." She looked at the fire for a second, seeming to always be burning in the evenings. "Being back here does that, I guess. Nostalgia."
Some of their best times were spent here. Though... the question was who was the 'they' she was talking about. She'd pranked James and Sirius here. She'd taken refuge here... She'd been... happy here. But now... It was so complicated. "So, you ready? I hope you don't mind, I think we should leave the dungeons to the Slytherins. Made that mistake the other night..." She hadn't gotten into specifics in the journals, suggesting instead that they met up. But she didn't want to meet Lestrange again. Not until she was in a position that she could do some damage.
