Who: Sirius Black17-baby & Remus Lupin22-unwind
What: Roommate times.
When: Wednesday afternoon
Where: Their Ravenclaw Dorm Room
Warnings: Awkward for Sirius Black22-unwind
Status: Threaded; incomplete.

Living in the dorms was great, and Sirius enjoyed all of his roommates, not holding it against them that they - for the most part - weren't marauders. Hell, Albus even managed to age up between first joining and now. Most roommates didn't age eight years in a day. But Sirius was very glad to have a marauder in the same room. This Remus, being from the world with the unwinding, wasn't one he'd had much of a chance to talk with. And he liked to know all of his best mates, in all their versions. So he was pleased to find a moment when it was just the two of them.

"Unless you're radically different from the other you's, I could see you having been sorted into Ravenclaw," Sirius commented out loud, to start the conversation. He was seated cross-legged on his bed, which had been made, with a few books about Charms around him. Perhaps it was more studious than when he had been in school, but it wasn't technically for an assignment. It was what he was interested in.

Remus smiled at the idea of Peter being a Healer. He could imagine Wormtail being incredibly intimidated by that at first -- but then being absolutely brilliant. Peter always needed as much encouragement as he could possible get; he seemed too prone to forgetting just what it was that he could do when he put his mind to it. It was hard at the same time though, because it had been so long since Remus had even seen Peter. He missed him, and James, and Lily.

"I think that would suit him," Remus said finally. "And it probably is," Remus added with a nod, although he paused a moment later, his expression turning a bit more wry. "I think all of us Remuses have good reason to be wary of this club that the Sirius have made up. Seems to be some sort of conspiracy."

Remus's answer told more than the bloke may have thought it would. Sirius was keenly aware of the worlds - closely related, he might add, in regards to how they differed - where something had gone wrong, where Peter had been different, gone down the wrong path. Moony's calm acceptance of Peter's profession was also one of Peter himself. Perhaps that was what Sirius missed most about the time they had been teenagers. Everyone had known Peter like he did.

"Conspiracy?" Sirius shook his head entertained, "No no, we're just very in touch with ourselves. And somehow organized. We've got a queen, a king, and other such officialized nicknames. Your Sirius is the oldest of us all, even older than Oldfoot. Admittedly I'm not much younger than Oldfoot." He was amused that they were more organized as a group than the Moony's or the James's.

Remus had to admit that he felt a bit strange discussing the workings of the group of Sirius when it seemed as if they had all been having it off with each other when they were younger. He knew it was something he should have expected from Sirius -- and was a bit amusing. But it was odd to think about the fact that he didn't know which one his Sirius had slept with. And it was increasingly difficult to know how to react.

"I suspect you'll be reduced to anarchy first though," Remus answered easily. He was pretty certain he was right on that account. "And I've heard he's the oldest." Remus said, his voice a bit more somber than it had been before. They'd discussed the reasons as to why that probably was and Remus didn't much care for them.

They weren't a particularly secretive bunch about knowing each other, communicating regularly, and being somewhat organized (if dog racing, self-backing, and imaginary titles counted for much). Sirius liked it, actually, as it made keeping track of other versions of oneself much easier. He found the lack of organization among the Moony's more difficult to follow. And James's, well, they were all loud enough to keep track of. Peter was one of a kind and had been since he arrived. So that was simple. But really, Sirius was very comfortable with his other selves.

"Only because we're the only ones organized," Sirius countered with a laugh, "We'll be the first and last to be reduced to anarchy, where you lot already live. Or is there some secret Moony Cabal I should make myself aware of?" He didn't think there was, but Sirius didn't count the Remus's out of anything. But he leaned over to give Remus a friendly squeeze on the shoulder at the tone. "I'll have you know I live a long healthy life and even become Minister of Magic," he wasn't the oldest, but it was possible he lived the longest.

"If it was a secret, I could hardly share it with you, could I?" Remus asked teasingly. Though such a thing would be rather helpful, he thought. A sort of 'I manage to survive living with Sirius Black every day' type organization. If only to contend with the Padfoot faction would a Moony faction be helpful, he thought.

"You're far too organized for a Sirius then," Remus responded when Sirius revealed that he became Minister of Magic. Honestly, he was a little surprised, because he hadn't heard anything even close to that in any of the worlds. "Your world is different from most, isn't it?" Remus asked curiously a moment later.

Looking over at the Remus, Sirius's playful side was coming out. His whole face showed the excitement, the teasing. "Oh but you can tell meee," Sirius became a little sing-songy, "You can trust me." He watched the Moony for attention to details. flying limited the size of containers, and it forced people to actually deal with him, depending on how Remus had played it.

"Mm," Sirius gave a slight nod of the head. For all others accused of him, Sirius had the potential to think on as slow a surface as they connected to. But there wasn't far to run from him. His smile was proud, edging on a smirk to some degree, "As I said. We can be organized." The question, yes, had a point, at least regards how they went, the Sirius's, "Yes we're different. We don't have the war most people seem to have or anything else that involves the killing of the people. We all get to live nice long lives with our children growing up free." It sounded good to him.

"Can't if you're a Sirius," Remus said with a wry grin, almost wishing that there was some kind of secret that he could actually keep from this Sirius. It was amusing, he thought, the way the Sirius were the different and the same. Although, he had to say, of course, that out of all them, he preferred his the best. But he figured it was supposed to be that way. They might have all had the same charming personality, but only his Sirius had been through everything with him. Knew him for the exact Remus that he was.

"I don't know much about the war," Remus admitted. He was aware that it seemed to claim the lives of many of them, and that it crossed several universes. But he didn't understand the nuances of it or what caused it.

His jaw dropped, as his shoulders fell in mock pain. His hand clenched his chest, and Sirius made himself lose his breath. "You would me, you wound us, you wound all of us," he claimed melodramatically, "Remus keeping a secret from a Sirius? What sort of world can this be?" He looked up toward the ceiling, as if asking the gods themselves, if any existed. He'd never been one for letting secrets and things drop. His curiosity always kept him going, if in a different sort of way. He was firmly confident about eventually finding out everything. It's how things went.

"I don't know that much either," Sirius smiled, "I've read some about them, but history books never have the full story. I've heard bits and pieces too. I've sometimes wondered if Voldemort was born without magic, since coming here. But I don't think it matters. Blood purity is a hard sell when most people don't have magic anymore, in the younger generations."
