"You can't miss it," Emma said a touch dismissively. Quickpulse was hardly notorious, but it was rather different to all the other shops on the street. "It's Monument Alley's one and only sex shop."

She smirked back over her shoulder. "Just a little bit different than Quidditch."

"Oh really?" she said, intrigued. "I should stop in some time. I've been to muggle ones a few times, but I would love to see what other things you can get in a wizarding one," she said, wondering how soon she could make time to call in. See if there was anything exciting.

Gwenog smirked right back. "Depends on how recently I've encountered a dickhead who wants to make jokes about riding his broomstick! But yes, little bit different," she said. "Mind you they tend to get a bit uncomfortable after I tell them I once rode a broomstick so hard it broke in half. Fuckers don't need to know it's because I crashed into the stands."

"You should!" Emma enthused, happy as ever to endorse the more palatable side of her working life. "We have some great stuff in at the moment. Every toy a girl could want and then some." She bit her lip to stop herself from asking Gwenog Jones whether she liked butt plugs.

Even Emma knew there were certain things that you didn't just ask people in the middle of the pub. That included not asking international Quidditch players whether they liked anything up their arse, especially when you'd just bought a date with them. That seemed like getting off on the wrong foot.

"The broomstick jokes must be unbearable," Emma said sympathetically. "You've probably heard them all a hundred times."

"Excellent," Gwenog said with relish. It wasn't like her sex life necessarily needed spicing up, but she liked a little edge and was always open to exploring new avenues. And who knew what fun things magic could add to the equation for when she was on her own too? "Girl's gotta have some fun," she said, raising her eyebrows at Emma. She was fun, and given where she worked sure as hell not a prude, which would have been dull and frustrating.

She stepped alongside Emma as they finally reached the bar and smirked. "I have, they started when I was in school, but sometimes they're hot so I fuck them anyway," she said with a shrug. Not that they were always quite so thrilled by the time they were done and she'd taken what she wanted, but that was her business, and they had all consented.

"So, what's your poison?" she asked.

"Nothing wrong with a bit of hate sex," Emma agreed. She had a client who liked to roleplay along those lines. It kept things interesting, especially when there were others who liked her to play the inexperienced virgin, a role she often played due to her age and youthful face.

Standing at the bar, Emma weighed up her options. Anything with bubbles would get her tipsy too quickly and wouldn't make a good impression, especially when they were going on an alcohol-based date. "I think my poison tonight is going to be... vodka and cranberry. Thanks."

"Nothing wrong with pretty much any sort of sex if everyone's consenting, although I wouldn't advise sex on an actual broom. It's just not comfortable, or easy to stay on the broom really," she said. And people forgot to look where they were going or lost their balance and ended up crashing or falling off. It was just all around not that comfortable.

Gwenog nodded, and flagged down the barman for their order, asking for a bottle of beer for herself. Mostly she didn't bother with anything other than beer, the whiskey next weekend would be a nice change. "So," she said, leaning on the bar, "I should probably thank you for bidding on the girl with the bad reputation. My publicist will be pleased." Well, as long as she didn't do anything to scandalous on the actual date.

Emma winced. "I can hardly even stay seated on a broom, so no chance of me trying that." Professor Hooch at told her at the end of her first year that it would probably be best for everybody if she never rose a broom again. "Though I did use a Beater's bat on someone once."

Laughing, Emma shrugged. "I kind of bid on all the Quidditch players," she confessed. "And I don't mind the reputation. It stops you from being just another player."

Gwenog snorted at the description of Emma's broom abilities. "Probably for the best then. It's not for everyone." She raised her eyebrows at the possibility of using a Beater's bat. "I'm guessing as self defence, because that's pretty extreme sex-wise."

"Oh, nice strategy, and Merlin save me from being boring," she added. Fishing some coins out of the seemingly tiny pocket in her waistcoat she paid for the drinks that were set down in front of them.

"Let's just said he was asking for it," Emma told her with her most enigmatic smirk.

She nodded. "I think my strategy worked out pretty well for me." She lifted her glass, inclining it slightly towards Gwenog. "Cheers."

"Ms Dobbs, I think you and I are going to get along just fine on this date," Gwenog said with a smirk of her own. "Cheers." She touched her bottle lightly to Emma's and took a healthy swig.
