Re: Dean (and NPC Ophelia) and Susan and OPEN
"It was an excellent distraction from talking about Melle Parkinson, and I always enjoy looking at art," she said with a little laugh. "And Dean is a lot of fun to spend and afternoon with." She smiled, clearly pleased with Susan's comments about her jewellery. "I am pleased you're getting a lot of use from it. I always hate to think of it sitting on dressing tables or in boxes and not gracing the bodies of beautiful people such as yourself."
"Dean has told me so much about his best friend. I think if he wasn't so busy with preparing for our show he would see much more of him. I don't want to take up all of his free time. People should not abandon their friends for romance, no matter how tempting it can be," she said.
Dean was glad to see Susan and Ophelia getting along, just as they had when she came to the studio. Although he was always concerned when he couldn't understand the conversation and was grateful when they switched to English when he rejoined them. He rolled his eyes at her, suspicious about the details of her talk with Ophelia. "I'm well, apart from the Parkinson thing, but I'm sure I can survive what I have to put up with as long as she's professional. And I really wish I could have caught Seamus' eye, but it's a busy event. I'm sure you can meet him eventually," he said, touching Ophelia's arm lightly.
He was feeling extraordinarily thankful he couldn't blush when Susan called them lovebirds. Her teasing was so well meaning, but he was feeling a bit put on the spot. "Oh, you know, far too much work, apart from skipping out yesterday."
"Oui, you did take me to the cinema to see the belle film about tennis though," Ophelia said, wrapping her arm around Dean's waist. He smiled at her but didn't quite relax.
"Thank Susan for that one, it was her suggestion," he said, flashing his friend a smile.
