Movie night!
WHO: Justin and Wayne
WHEN: Friday night
WHERE: London
WHAT: Justin was bored, so he made sure he wasn't.
RATING:
STATUS:

Usually, Justin spent Friday nights with Seamus. Or at least that's what had happened in the past few weeks so when the plans had turned out to be for Saturday morning movie, he had picked up parchment and pen.

Wayne,

I know this is last minute but, are you free this evening? Movie, food and drinks?

Justin

He had sent the owl early enough in the day so that Wayne could have enough time to check his schedule and answer him.

The answer was favorable, but he wasn't too sure if they should go out of not, so he pretty much gave Wayne his address, mentioning that he had to come over the Muggle way as no one but a select few could Apparate in his flat directly.

If this were not Justin, and if Wayne hadn't been drinking, he might have held back on the information about Dennis, and how it was eating him up. Still, he did have at least a smidgen of self control.

"Ehhhhh..." He whined, edging around the story before, as usual, jumping in head first.

"Do you know an unnaturally tall bloke called Dennis something?" He asked, feeling his cheeks flush. He wasn't that close to drunk, but was on the verge of being warm and comfortable in his bones. "That may have been ill advised."

"I do." He said, nodding. "Dennis Creevey, he's a mate of Seamus, why?" he asked, then his eyes went wide. "Did you...?"

Wayne let out a theatrical whine and covered his face with both hands.

"Yes," he sighed, voice muffled through his hands. "And I really fucked up. Like, start to finish. With epilogues." He supposed it'd be funny at some point in the future, just...not yet.

Justin bit his lower lip and gave him a sympathetic look. "I'm so sorry." He said, trying not to be to judgmental of his friend. "What happened?" He asked, preferring to know the whole story before he tried to comfort him.

Wayne laughed wryly and scrubbed his face with his hands before grabbing the beer he was drinking-- oh. Empty. He grabbed the one he'd brought for Justin, which was still unopened.

"I'll start at the beginning, shall I?" Wayne ticked off each item on his fingers. "He was pretty tanked before I even got there, so I did my best to catch up. He *apparated* us back to his, had some pretty energetic sex, crashed. I left without waking him and left him my number. I didn't return his call. Accidentally ran into him and tried to apologize. Ended up getting him so upset his friend the shop owner nearly threatened me."

Stuffing another candy bar in his mouth, he finished his litany with food in his mouth.

"And it's all because I'm a fucking asshole, basically."

Justin winced when Wayne reached out for the other beer, but didn't say anything. It wasn't his place to tell Wayne what to do or not. His face flushed even more than it already had when Wayne mentioned the energetic sex. Somehow an image of Wayne and a faceless tall man fucking each other wildly came up and he cleared his throat.

"Ouch." He commented on the story. "He was already drunk..." Justin didn't like the sound of that and frowned.

"So then you wanted to apologize and made things worse?" Sounded familiar. Something very... Wayne.

"Well, of course, my first instinct was to avoid him entirely, naturally, but this being an even smaller world than usual..." Wayne gestured vaguely. "It's like six degrees of separation, but everyone's, like, maybe two degrees away. Two degrees and a fuck."

Wayne fucked Dennis who was friends with Seamus who was fucking Justin. Three degrees?

"Anyway. Meant to apologise. Mentioned that his ex had been shitty - you know what happened with his ex, fucking his best friend behind his back? - and that was a no-go, apparently. He ran off, I thought to keep himself from giving me the arse-kicking I so richly deserved. And then the shop owner killed me with a stare, basically."

Wait, had that thing about Dennis's ex been a secret? Shit. Well, three degrees and all. You had to hold tighter onto your secrets, he guessed.

"I might have to downgrade my sexual contact to snogging until I stop wrenching people apart," he mused.

Justin winced. "Avoiding people never works." he said with a sigh. "Tried and failed." He had tried to avoid Seamus after that little misunderstanding and it had turned out okay after all.

"Never mention exes." He said with a shake of his head. "That's bound to come back to bite you in the ass and, just a suggestion," He added shaking his head. "Don't talk about this to other people who aren't privy to these things. He might not like the whole world to know. For people are ashamed of being cheated on." Dennis was a nice bloke though so he doubted he had anything to be ashamed of.

"Nah, don't do that to yourself. It's an easy fix." He told Wayne. "I know that I probably have no right telling you this, because we haven't seen each other for so long, but it's all about the decisions you make. Every step, there is a decision and just being careful will be fine. You're fine. Keep having sex." His cheeks were feeling warm and prickly as he said that.

"Oh, can I please?" asked Wayne, voice laced with playful sarcasm. "I'm so glad to have the green light from you." He grinned, settling back into his buzz. It was a nice, warm, comforting level of drunk, only slightly slowing his motion and speech.

"Well, at least I can count on your good judgment over my shit judgement," he sighed, patting Justin on the shoulder. "I always could count on you."

It was true. Justin had rarely steered him wrong, at least on purpose.

"What can I say. Nothing changes. It always used to be me and my mouth getting me into trouble. Now, it's just..." Wayne gave Justin a suggestive look. "My mouth that gets me into trouble."

"Wayne this isn't.." He said softly, scooting a little closer. He didn't want his friend to think he thought himself better than him when it was definitely not the case. He closed his eyes and sighed, opening them in time for Wayne's suggestive look.

Damn! And now he was talking about his mouth getting him into trouble and he had that look on his face, not to mention the way he was melting into Justin's couch, it definitely brought him back several year. His stomach fluttered the same way it had all these years ago and he bit his lower lip, trying to push back all these memories.

Aww, now Justin was biting his lip, with his big doe eyes and long lashes and his humility paired with that fucking posh English public school accent.

He'd have to watch himself, for sure.

"You're the type that'll have to watch himself, you know that, right?" He asked, unwrapping another Cadbury flake. "You're quite the catch. Seamus better watch his act, there." He didn't fancy having to beat up a cute and muscular Irish Gryffindor. "Not that you can't defend yourself, but having a wingman don't hurt."

Wait.

Didn't he just have a problem with this earlier in the fucking day? Making choices while less sober than recommended?

"I'm glad we're back together again," he said honestly, "you know. A chunk of us from school and some promising new faces. Things are getting better, I think."

"Why would I have to watch myself?" he asked, tilting his head on the side. Yup definitely having flutters right now. He searched Wayne's face, trying to read him, which was a terrible idea since he was kind of drunk and more or less tempted to snog Wayne right there.

But then Wayne brought Seamus up and he licked his lips before chewing on the lower one. "You still think I'm with Seamus, huh?" he said softly and smiled.

"This isn't what?" Wayne asked, only half caring about the answer.

Aw, he was out of candy.

"So, uh, did you have plans for the rest of that candy? Cause I dunno, mate, it doesn't look like you'll get any trick or treaters. We should probably just eat the candy." Not that he was up to eating a bucketful of candy, but no pressure to save any, right?

"Aw, man, Justin. Have you seen that one Halloween movie where the candy is--" something dinged in his mind.

"Wait, weren't we going to watch a movie? Not that I mind yammering on about everything, but we can watch and yammer, yeah?"

Wayne wasn't answering his questions and for some reason he thought it was best. Maybe he didn't need the answer to this to complicate things further. Because if Wayne started getting cute he might not be able to stop himself from snogging him and he could ended up in a mess.

"I have no plans for these other than eat them." He said, reaching out for a piece of candy for himself. "And share too, because I'll get myself sick if I eat it all." He chuckled and ate the candy after unwrapping it.

"Yeah, yeah we were. Wanna check out what I have? Just.. not Spiderman." He would be watching it with Seamus since they hadn't seen it all the last time. "But pick whatever, I've seen them all."

Wayne groaned as he hefted himself off the sofa to inspect the titles along the spines of Justin's dvd cases.

"Do you have..." He hummed, trying to think of a film that matched his mood, which was...drunk. And warm and fuzzy and comfortable.

One that wasn't Love Actually.

"Do you have Pirates of the Caribbean? Christ -- Orlando Bloom, Kiera Knightly, AND Johnny Depp? I think they made that film specifically to kill me. In the best ways."

Justin stood and checked one of the towers, grabbing one. "Here. I have a thing for Orlando Bloom myself." Johnny Deep not so much for his physical appearance, but he really liked him as an actor. Orlando Bloom was rather a great looking chap.

"I have Lord of the Rings too if you'd like some Legolas goodness. I think I have a thing for elves." He snorted and put on the Pirates of the Caribbean. Anything would have done it though, he wasn't picky.
