Harry & Greg
Who: Harry and Greg
What: Intimidation
Where: Greg's flat
When: Thursday evening, 10/9
Rating: Mostly sfw? Naught thought? I don't know.

Harry was just thinking about going home when a shadow fell across his desk. He looked up, and immediately groaned at the look on Savage's face. "No. Whatever it is, no." He was still smarting a bit from yesterday, though Ernie had done a wonderful job at patching him up, and he'd done nothing more strenuous today than a second interview with Waddlesworth. Which, granted, had given him a headache but at least there were no new bruises.

Savage just looked at him until Harry groaned and resisted the urge to bash his head against his desk. "All right, fine. What've we got?"

"A suspected Death Eater hangout. It seems a Mrs. McHavelock witnessed some known Death Eater associates congregating in a 'suspicious' manner last weekend, and has witnessed them coming and going quite regularly since her new tenant moved in." Savage smirked through the briefing, and Harry was reminded how much she scared him. Always. "I need you to go check it out."

Harry sighed. They got at least twelve of these calls every quarter, and none of them actually lead to the capture of Death Eaters, past or present. It was usually someone's overactive imagination, but the department had to take them all seriously. "All right. Address?"

A few minutes later Harry Apparated to Monument Alley, and walked up the steps to the so-called Death Eater hangout. Despite his belief that this was a false call, Harry had his wand handy and didn't announce himself as he knocked on the door.

Harry made a note of the names, but they didn't come as a surprise. The idea of Goyle of all people having a house party made him want to laugh, but he supposed even Goyle had friends. It was inevitable that that would mean convicted and released Death Eaters.

"I'll need a full guest list, for formality's sake," he said, crossing his arms over his chest. "You can owl them to my office by end of business tomorrow." It would mean more paperwork for him, but some things had to be done by the book, even if it was a waste of time.

"Fine." Greg could get a list from Pansy and forward it on. Maybe he was being overly cautious, but he couldn't see any reason to involve Pansy if he didn't have to. He was pretty sure who was responsible for these 'reports of suspicious activity' and the idea that Mrs McHavelock was monitoring who visited made his skin itch. He'd have to up his security, though of course the building belonged to her...

He frowned at Potter. "Is that all?"

"Thank you for your cooperation," Harry forced himself to say. Goyle honestly hadn't done anything wrong, much as it pained Harry to admit as much, so he had to remain polite. The whole visit had been an exercise in futility, and he'd have to go visit Mrs. McHavelock now to impress the importance of not filing false reports with the Auror's office. His day just kept looking brighter.

Harry frowned back at Goyle, then nodded. "That's all." For now, he added silently. He didn't trust that Goyle was completely reformed, and would be keeping an eye on him nonetheless. "Have a good evening." The last was said with complete insincerity which even Goyle couldn't miss.
