Losing was never easy, but Terry didn't like to dwell on the negative. He liked to use what went wrong to improve the play for the next game, and had a mental list of things to work on in the next week. Overall, he was happy with his performance for this game and that's all he could really ask for after a loss.

He showered, forgoing the towel after. He preferred to air dry when at all possible, and his teammates were used by now to his nakedness in the locker room. He spotted Vik on the other side of the room, and headed over. He knew his friend was taking the loss hard; wondered privately what had happened between him and Quirke that had messed his head up for the game.
