Dean's Birthday!
Who: Open to: Dean, Seamus, Dominic, Susan, Ernie, Alicia, Lavender, Oliver, Harry, Hannah, George.
What: Dean's birthday party
Where: The Roost
When: Sunday afternoon/evening/night?
Rating: SFW - for now

There had been no big shouts of 'surprise', Seamus knew Dean far too well for that. He'd just lead him up to The Roost after Battlescars and let him push the door open to reveal a sandy floor, warm salt-and-coconut scented air and a 'Starry Night' sky. There was a bar at one end of the room, stocked and ready for people to help themselves (Seamus wasn't working tonight, though he'd doubtless end up there showing off his cocktail skills at some point). Along the side wall were tables for the food, already containing Aunt Rose's jerk chicken and Seamus's attempt at a pineapple upside down cake, vastly outdone by Aileen Finnigan's cherry cheesecake next to it. The rest of the large room was scattered with deckchairs, apart from a small decked area for dancing. The music of steel drums floated from nowhere and despite the bleak grey sky outside the room glowed with sunlight.

Harry, who had been accused of having a huge ego all his life, normally didn't find jokes like this amusing. Tonight though, it didn't bother him. Both because he knew they were teasing, and because it seemed like an awful lot of effort to get upset over a little joke. Much more fun to just play along. So he just snickered, and winked at them both.

"We're going to have to kill you now you know our secret. Unless you can give us proper incentive to keep it quiet."

When Oliver pulled him closer to Susan, and then they both had their hands on his hips, Harry wasn't entirely sure what to do with his own hands. Eventually it seemed easiest to put one over Susan's shoulders, and the other on her hip, though Oliver's closeness meant Harry was touching him too. No one seemed to mind, and it was clear it was just innocent fun. It had been awhile since he'd had anything of that sort.

"Well, the intent is pure even if the execution is lacking."

Oliver had been told over and over that his ego was too big to fit in a room, but instead of getting too upset over it, Oliver made a habit of making it a joke. "Hey, some people might say my head is too big, but to them I say well, they worship it as a god in some small eastern European countries. So who's laughing now, huh?" he said, a huge grin on his face. He liked Harry winking back. It was good, this was fun.

He made a face of mock horror, stopping his gyrating for a moment. "Oh dear! What kind of incentive do you need, do you think?" he asked, an eyebrow raising slightly. He had to keep back a smile; he wasn't sure how Harry or Susan would answer that.

"Ahh, Harry, come off it," he added now that the other wizard was properly in the sandwich with them. He let a hand trail over Susan's neck, and was slightly annoyed when the music slowed down. Well, he guessed they were slow dancing. It didn't seem like Susan minded that he was staring down her blouse, but he also didn;t want to look TOO much like a creeper.

"Even a slow dance can't slow us down," he mused, though he'd lowered his voice, his smile going a bit crooked. Maybe he'd had more to drink than he thought, but his mind was getting swirly.

"Really," Susan asked archly. "Which particular head are we talking about here? I've heard it's quiet in Latvia, I'm sure they'd be overjoyed to worship something large and impressive." She grinned at Harry, knowing that a statement like that definitely couldn't be ignored.

"I don't know about Harry here, but personally I rather like the incentive of kisses from the good gents and damsels who we keep safe. Definitely keeps me motivated," she said, answering the challenge in his voice with one of her own.

She obligingly moved her neck, allowing Oliver to run his fingers lightly against her neck. There was few things she likes better than a handsome man - or a beautiful woman - touching or kissing her neck.

"That's because slow dancing is still fun," she replied, noting the increasingly slurred quality of his words. "But we can go and sit down if you'd like, Oliver?"

"My handsome one," Oliver retorted, chuckling and loving her double entendre. "And Latvia gathers round statues of my head to sing carols and await the coming of the new year. It's glorious. And very impressive." He caught Harry's eye and winked again. Maybe it was the alcohol but he was having a lot more fun with him there too.

"Is that a fact?" he said, tilting his head to consider. "Would I have to snog both of you, then? To be sure that the motivation is strong enough? I value you my life, you see," Oliver said, nodding his head thoughtfully even as he swayed to the beat.

The skin of Susan's neck was soft, and their combined closeness and the heat of everything suddenly did make Oliver rather tired. "Well...only if we all sit together. I wouldn't want to break up this fine threesome."

"It sounds terrifying," Harry said, face straight and eyes twinkling. "For the Latvians." He winked back at Oliver, then laughed.

Even though he knew Oliver was teasing, he couldn't help the way his face flamed even redder at the thought of kissing Oliver. He knew it was a good natured joke, and was pretty sure Oliver wasn't into blokes at all, but it was still an interesting visual. He'd be lying if he said he hadn't thought about it before. But even if Oliver hadn't been joking, Harry wasn't ready for that.

So really, he was glad at Susan's suggestion that they sit, even if it had been spurred more by Oliver's slurred speech. "All right, let's sit. I could use a drink anyway."

"That does sound terrifying," Susan agreed glibly. "And as for the Latvians, well... So many people uh 'gathering around' your head would be very exhausting. You must have excellent stamina, wouldn't you say, Harry?"

She paused, watching Harry's face go red at the thought of such an action. "Now now, Oliver - I can call you Oliver right? Anyway, now, now Oliver it's not fair to offer to snog us if you're not planning to follow through. It's just not Quidditch."

Rolling her eyes, she grabbed both men by the arms and led them over to a miraculously free trio of beach chairs. "There," she said contentedly, sitting down in between them. "Much better wouldn't you say?"
