Dean's Birthday!
Who: Open to: Dean, Seamus, Dominic, Susan, Ernie, Alicia, Lavender, Oliver, Harry, Hannah, George.
What: Dean's birthday party
Where: The Roost
When: Sunday afternoon/evening/night?
Rating: SFW - for now

There had been no big shouts of 'surprise', Seamus knew Dean far too well for that. He'd just lead him up to The Roost after Battlescars and let him push the door open to reveal a sandy floor, warm salt-and-coconut scented air and a 'Starry Night' sky. There was a bar at one end of the room, stocked and ready for people to help themselves (Seamus wasn't working tonight, though he'd doubtless end up there showing off his cocktail skills at some point). Along the side wall were tables for the food, already containing Aunt Rose's jerk chicken and Seamus's attempt at a pineapple upside down cake, vastly outdone by Aileen Finnigan's cherry cheesecake next to it. The rest of the large room was scattered with deckchairs, apart from a small decked area for dancing. The music of steel drums floated from nowhere and despite the bleak grey sky outside the room glowed with sunlight.

Dean thought for half a second that he could suggest just coming to the studio and transfiguring a few drums, but then he realised his paint was expensive and not really the best for just getting messy with. "Yeah, sure. I could charm it to sparkle and stuff."

He was yawning through Seamus' explanation and then rolled his eyes. "Not my birthday any more," he said, walking over and grabbing Seamus' arm to display the very much not-flaming tattoo. "And you're being an idiot. C'mon, bed," he said, tugging a bit. "We can share."

Seamus grinned, imagining Susan and Ernie covered in sparkly pink paint. (Dean, in his imagining of the scene, got a rather more tasteful silver-and-gold look.) "We should totally do that. Don't have to wait a year." If there was one thing Seamus was good at, it was finding excuses for celebration.

"M'always an idiot," Seamus pointed out - by which he meant that Dean always thought so, not that he always actually was. "Don't stop just because it's your birthday." Nonetheless, he let Dean guide him over to the bed. A feat that was quite impressive, considering Dean's earlier unsteadiness. "Mam'd have my head if I didn't offer you the bed." Never mind the number of times Dean had crashed on the sofa after Seamus was already asleep. He pushed the jeans down and stepped out of them, kicking them carelessly away.

"Sure, we can work it out." He was feeling sleepy now, his feet dragging slightly. "T'morro' tho."

He smiled sleepily as he pulled off his own shirt (buttons still done up), and shoved off his jeans. "So 'm I." He yawned again, scratching absently at his forehead. "Yeah, but it's not like I care about sharing with you." Sure if Seamus was asleep and he came over for whatever reason he took the couch, but that was purely because he didn't want to wake Seamus up.

Thanks to the sand his socks were somewhere in the Roost, tucked into his shoes, also Seamus' bed was probably going to have sand in it soon. Dean was past caring though and pulled back the covers and flopped into the bed.

Seamus did, at least, let Dean get into bed first, giving him the space to starfish out the way he usually did. It was (somewhat pathetically, Seamus supposed) about the only time his double bed got used as such. "Tomorrow," he agreed, stashing his wand on the bedside table.

He followed Dean into bed, throwing one arm loosely across Dean's stomach because by now they'd learned there was really no point pretending they weren't going to end up this way. With the other, he pulled the blankets halfway up. Seamus wriggled, bare sandy toes pressed against Dean's ankle. They hadn't bothered to turn the lights on and although the sun through the window was definitely going to piss them off in the morning, Seamus was too comfortable to move. "Good?" he asked, just to make sure.

Dean shuffled a little getting himself comfortable and made sure he probably wouldn't get his arm lain on in the night. "'m good," he said, closing his eyes. He could feel himself starting to drift off immediately, Seamus' bed familiar and comfortable.
