"No, it's not a problem. Great joke. I just felt like I was missing something." He smiled and gave a sort of careless shrug that showed he really didn't mind.
"Thanks," he said, pleased by the compliment. His leg was hidden a lot of the time now thanks to the weather, but he was still proud of the charm work he'd paid to have added. "It's a hell of a lot more exciting that boring black or something, plus it's adjustable if I want, which is handy," he said. In the first few weeks after it had been fitted he had spent far too much time messing with the charms and he knew exactly how to shift them around now without much difficulty.
He bent over the map with interest, studying it for a few moments. "This is the path we took, yes?" he asked, looking up at her for confirmation that he'd got the right one. As it was he was going to ask if he could copy it. New running paths were always interesting to him.
