Well, turns out that Gran doesn't need me nearly as much as I think she does.

[Harry]
Does the offer still stands? Gran said she's fine with me moving out. Well, she actually said something along the lines of: It was about time!

And she has House-Elves tending to her too.

We'd have to run it past Hermione first, I really ought to have asked her before offering. My only excuse is I was still hungover.

No matter what she says, it's fine Harry. I need to man up and move out at some point. Gran looked relieved when I finally managed to ask her how she'd feel about it.

You can definitely crash at ours while you house hunt, I'm sure she wouldn't mind that.

Well, it's not like she's kicking me out though.

Of course she needs you, Neville. Why would you think otherwise?

Just a discussion I had with her about maybe moving out and she seemed really eager for me to do so.

Well, you are old enough to live on your own. Maybe she just wants to see you independent, or maybe doesn't want a front row seat when you start bringing girls home?

I never would.

But I would definitely like some independence before I need to move in again. I mean, it's not like I'll never check up on her.

Before I read what you wrote to Ernie, I was afraid for a moment that she was kicking you out! I didn't know you were thinking of moving. Feels like I haven't spoken to you properly in ages!

OH! Now that I re-read myself, yeah it kind of sounds like that. But no, she's not kicking me out. I was staying because I thought she needed me around, but she seemed relieved when I approached her with the matter.

But like I said, I'd be moving out but I'll still check up on her though.

And yes, it's been ages. We should remedy to that! When's the next duelling club?

Duelling club is every Tuesday, but I'll happily make time for you any day of the week. xxx

Oooh, I'm flattered! Okay, tell me when and I'll escape the Department from the mountain of paperwork they have just put on my desk.

I swear that job was more fun.. before it was a job.

What works best for you? I'd hate to get between a man and his paperwork! (Unless he wants me to, of course!)

I'm glad I don't spend as much time behind a desk as you.

Please do. Get right in the middle and split us up, I have no problem with that at all. Besides, it's not like I can't do it on weekends

Are you saying I should become a Hit Wizard? Are you having fun on the field? Chasing bad guys and leaving the paperwork behind?

Then I will do my best to split you up. I can do any evening the next few days.

I like my job, even if it does seem to be 90% of my life sometimes! But I'm glad I didn't become an Auror. Don't think I'd have been much good at the investigative side of it.

I like the whole chasing around and hexing stuff. Maybe I chose the wrong path after all.

You should make sure that she actually wants you to go, and isn't trying to make you think so in order so that you don't see that she really wants you to stay.

We had tea together and a really good talk. A lot of things that were bothering me have been settled between us and she wants me to get out of here and actually be an adult. Of course the garden and the greenhouse are still mine so I'll be here often anyway.

So I know she's not pretending. She wants me to go on my own, if only for now.

That's really great. I say if you have the means to do it, you should. I'm sure all sorts of wonderful things open up when you're out on your own.

I'm considering maybe look for a room mate. I don't know how well I'd do all by myself.

That might be a good idea. I'm sure it can be a little disorienting to suddenly be living by yourself.

All I need is someone who would accept Donny. Because I'm not leaving without him, though Gran is starting to like him a lot. But he's mostly quiet so he wouldn't be a problem.

If I could move out, I would say we could live together. But I still have to take care of my dad. Maybe one day though. I'm sure you'll find someone.
