Journal Justin
So my family is harassing me about Holidays already, demanding that I take off to be with them because I am a Fletchley and I cannot miss two Christmases in a row. It is my duty to attend and would I please bring a lovely girlfriend/fiancée this time. I'm 24 and shouldn't still be single. Ah well..

On the other hand, Grandmère has been leaving messages for me to call her back saying it's important. Turns out they want to see me too for the Holidays and I could bring a nice boyfriend this year too.

Guess where I'll spend my Holidays? Without the boyfriend though

[Ernie]

Ernie, I feel terrible.

She hasn't recovered from that. She still talks about it.

How the heck is your brain wired? I'm a total arse because I haven't made the effort to see Seamus in over a week and somehow he did something wrong?

Okay, he didn't actually do anything wrong, it's just that whenever I think about the last time we were together, I get this weird feeling that I said the wrong thing and he could potentially be angry at me?

That's because I'm perfect, we both know that.

Hey, it was a natural assumption that if you were keeping your distance, it would have been because he did something to piss you off. I'm wired plenty good, thank you very much.

What in Merlin's name could you ever do that was wrong? You're brilliant, and only an idiot would get angry at you for being brilliant. You're my best mate - I don't be friends with less than perfect you know.

I am so sorry, Ernie. I'm kinda on edge right now, I don't know why.

I am flattered, mate. It's just that he said something and I might have understood him the wrong way, but in the good way? Okay, I'm confusing myself but it's just too weird because I felt disappointed when he didn't respond a certain way and I'm left wondering what's going on with me.

It feels like everytime I tried to figure out if Wayne was interested in men. You know how subtle I can be?

Hey, no need to apologize.

You're really confusing me. What exactly did you say? What did he say? What the bloody hell happened?

Subtle? I thought you didn't even know how to spell the word.

He told me at some point that, when we were discussing about finding time for each other, that he wasn't giving up on this, not without a fight.

I wasn't sure what to answer at first, but after a little while (not giving details) I said it back. I might have misunderstood the meaning of it, because he didn't react the way I thought he would.

And then he needed to go to work and I just.. didn't go out of my way to speak to him yet.

So he said he wasn't giving up on you, you said you weren't giving up on him back, and he reacted badly?

He didn't react badly. I reacted badly to his reaction to me saying it back.

He invited me to late dinner at the pub to try the new chef. I'll keep you updated, ok?

You'd better, else you'll find me banging down your door which will open for me even if I have to use a blasting spell.
