Q-Topia
I am Romeo Matías García-Davies. Some of you may know me from our time together at Hogwarts. Some may know me from my job cooking at Finnigan's. Some may not know me at all.

I am queer.

If I had to define my gender, I would call myself somewhere between gender fluid and gender neutral. I look like what society would categorize as "a boy", but I do not feel like one. Nor do I feel like a girl. I am floating somewhere comfortable in the middle, a metaphoric foot in the male camp because of my presentation, but the rest of my being gloriously free of the gender binary imposed upon us by society.

If I had to define my sexuality, I would call myself definitely pan...something. I don't see gender as a barrier to love or attraction. With that said I don't necessarily know if I am pansexual... perhaps I am simply panromantic and asexual.

So that is me.

I know there are other people out there who, like me, don't conform to the neat little boxes the world would like to put us in. Maybe you don't fit the gender binary. Maybe you aren't neatly heterosexual. I would like to start a group for all of us to gather, support each other, and talk about the particular issues we face. This is not your school-era Gay-Straight Alliance. This is a utopia. A Queer-topia, if you will. And it is coming soon, if there is enough interest.

(You can make your replies private to me if you are nervous/cautious/not out.)

Really? That'd be amazing. Maybe you and Dominic can work together, he's muggleborn and would know better than I do how it works on that end. And then he'd known how to do it again and I could have movie nights!

When is good for you?

On weekdays, after work/any time after five, unless I have to work late (which I'd let him know in advance if that ends up being the case). Weekends are generally more lenient. However, if this is meant to be sooner rather than later, I can come by during lunch to start working on things. And if I can get ahold of one of those projector things, I can always tinker with it during breaks.

Do you have any specific charms or wards on your pub? I think knowing that will help a lot, too.

Dominic's usually here after work. I'll owl him and get him to get in touch.

Loads. Let's see: Standard wards against intruders whenever we're closed; a permanent charm to make the Corner quieter; whatever magic Dominic has going on in The Roost; my flat has wards to keep anyone except me and two friends out.

Dominic can tell you about most of those, too, if you need more details.

Yes, please do let him know to get in touch with me about this.

I do think the more information I have, the easier it will be to help figure out how best to make the device work in that setting. And thank you for the information you have provided already.
