Q-Topia
I am Romeo Matías García-Davies. Some of you may know me from our time together at Hogwarts. Some may know me from my job cooking at Finnigan's. Some may not know me at all.

I am queer.

If I had to define my gender, I would call myself somewhere between gender fluid and gender neutral. I look like what society would categorize as "a boy", but I do not feel like one. Nor do I feel like a girl. I am floating somewhere comfortable in the middle, a metaphoric foot in the male camp because of my presentation, but the rest of my being gloriously free of the gender binary imposed upon us by society.

If I had to define my sexuality, I would call myself definitely pan...something. I don't see gender as a barrier to love or attraction. With that said I don't necessarily know if I am pansexual... perhaps I am simply panromantic and asexual.

So that is me.

I know there are other people out there who, like me, don't conform to the neat little boxes the world would like to put us in. Maybe you don't fit the gender binary. Maybe you aren't neatly heterosexual. I would like to start a group for all of us to gather, support each other, and talk about the particular issues we face. This is not your school-era Gay-Straight Alliance. This is a utopia. A Queer-topia, if you will. And it is coming soon, if there is enough interest.

(You can make your replies private to me if you are nervous/cautious/not out.)

I see those scribbles - question? Concern?

I'm Stacey, and yes, it's possible. Nice to (sort of?) meet you as well.

It does not matter, Miss Rivers. Forgive me my messiness.

I have been hard at work planning ice breaking games for the first meeting... so far I have one.

No worries about messes (I'm not always the best at being tidy myself, just ask Zacharias!) but no Miss Rivers, I'm Stacey. The only people who call me Miss Rivers are the stuffy business people I have to deal with on occasion.

Ooh, what game? Because I'm sure I can help you find some more.

My apologies ...Stacey.

I was considering that we ought to play Person Bingo.

Thank you, Romeo. You've got a nickname for that, I'm sure - Shakespearean influence, I'm guessing?

I don't know that one! But Two Truths And A Lie can be good for that whole 'getting to know you' sort of thing. And I'll see what else I can come up with for you!

Some call me Ro-Ro, yes. And yes, my mother is a big fan of Romeo and Juliet. Had she been given a daughter, I'm sure she would have been named either Juliet or Rosaline, and the implications of having a sister with either of those names is just... it makes me shudder.

That said, if she had been given another son, she has often said she was debating Tybalt, or Benvolio, so I am often glad I have no hermanos because that is a cruelty even harder to bear than Romeo!

I myself am a fan of Shakespeare, but I am considerably more widely read than my mother. She stopped after Romeo and Juliet... I consider it far from my favorite of his works.

That has a nice ring to it. I can understand your non-existent sisters' name issue somewhat, because no one's called me by my full name since I was two.

Hermanos, huh? Se habla español?

I haven't read that much Shakespeare, to be honest. Hamlet is my favorite, personally, though Much Ado About Nothing was hysterical.

¿Has leído Titus Andronicus?

Eres... tan hermosa.

Y no he leído el otro.

Yo no tengo ninguna. Siempre he querido uno.
