Percy/Oliver
Oliver, I'm tired and you're still upset. I doubt anything I say will get through that overly-bludgeoned brain of yours... but because I care, I will give it a try, and if I fail then I will do so with a clear conscience.
Where have you been the last ten years? Nearly every single public figure in the wizarding world has suffered this sort of treatment in some way, shape or form. Harry was targeted often, and if you want a quidditch example, just look at the way Finbar Quigley has been treated recently vis-a-vis his divorce. Did any of them deserve it? No. But having been alive to witness it all these years, can it be expected on the part of a public figure? Yes. Is there some reason you believed yourself to be immune? Other than the fact that you are so overly obsessed with quidditch that you have difficulty seeing the big picture? Remember, you're talking to someone who's seen this time and time again, who was 'gently encouraged' to write such things and submit them on behalf of the Minister's office.
So, are you really upset at what you are telling yourself that I am saying, or are you upset that I'm right and you should have thought this out enough to not only realize that a playboy quidditch player finally settling down would actually make news, but also talk to his significant other about it in preparation so that when it does happen, it isn't as disastrous as this no doubt appears to you? Because if you love her and she loves you, then in the end, what does it matter what the media says?
