Charlie walked through from his office after double checking on the safe. It was hidden at the rear of the second floor, the door heavily warded. He'd been anticipating this night ever since he'd decided on the theme for the extra night and secured the staff for the additional evening. It had the major advantage of not requiring much by he way of additional decorations.
As he walked past the upstairs DJ booth he checked in with the DJ, who nodded as she sorted through her list of potential tracks once more and aimed her wand at the lights, setting the lighting effects going. "Don't forget you leg," she called, just before the music started, low until the doors actually opened. "Fuck!" he muttered, pulling out his wand and aimed it at the prosthetic, clearly visible below the shorts he was wearing to ward against how hot he hoped it would get later. A couple of seconds later it had changed from its usual random patterns to an undulating rainbow flag. It would go well with the few he'd had added to the walls for the night.
He made his way downstairs, glad he'd already checked the toilets on both floors. Stopping over at the bar he had a word with the young woman would be helping him that evening. She was gay herself and had been very enthusiastic when he'd asked her about the new night. She flashed him two thumbs up and wolf-whistled at his leg. He got a similar response, minus the whistle from the guy behind the lower DJ booth, who obligingly set his lights going. Moving through to the entrance area he checked in with both the cloakroom and entrance desk and checked his pocket watch. Just like Ron he'd got one as a coming-of-age gift from his parents, it was a bit dented but still in working order. It was ten seconds before ten and he cast a quick Sonorus on himself. "Ten second warning everybody. Have a great night, don't hesitate if you need me. Usual rules apply." He heard the sound of the music picking up on both floors - general music on both floors for the night - and the two run-arounds appeared from behind the cloakroom desk.
Right on cue at 10pm he spelled the doors open, clapping the two bouncers on the back. They didn't even flinch. He was pleased to see some people already waiting outside and his face spread in a smile.
"Welcome to the first LGBTQ+ night at Wingbeat!" he called, immediately muttering Quietus. He headed back inside then, trusting his staff to take care of everyone as he dashed back to the bar.
