Come cuddle
Who: Open to Hannah, Susan, Bryn, Dennis, Justin, Neville, Luna, Ernie, Ben, Megan & Dean - And also to anyone who may have followed them up from Battlescars / the pub.
What: Cuddles, cheering up. ETA: Or, as it turns out, angst.
Where: The Roost
When: After lunch Sunday - potentially Monday morning if people stay over
Rating: SFW (Seamus says no sex or nudity in his pub! Language is fine, I'll update the rating if we need it.)

Seamus hadn't bothered to get Dominic to alter The Roost for his impromptu cuddle party so the room was in more or less its natural stage. Wide open, taking up the whole of the second floor, with white walls and big windows along both sides it was pleasant if not particularly exciting. Before Battlescars, Seamus dragged not only his pillows and duvet down from his flat but also all the spare cushions from his couch. He'd used cleaning and freshening charms on all of it and then, in a fit of whimsy, charmed it all yellow in honour of Hufflepuff.

It wasn't quite 'the Hufflepuff common room' that he'd originally suggested to Dean in order to cheer up Susan, but he suspected it would do. It was the people more than the furniture that made a cuddle party what it was. The snacks he'd promised were already stowed in one corner - bags of marshmallows and popcorn, a stack of chocolate frogs and a thermos of hot chocolate. He suspected people would be adding to his supplies as they arrived.

Seamus frowned at that - and at the tears shining unshed in Dennis's eyes. "You don't?" That he couldn't understand. Paden obviously hadn't been good enough, if he hadn't valued Dennis then he was an idiot and the fact that he'd had no problem with infidelity meant he was a prick into the bargain. "What, ever?" Seamus had never had a relationship serious enough that he'd been sad to lose the person themselves, he'd only ever missed the hope that he might finally... He pushed the thought away, focusing on Dennis.

Seamus's flush darkened and he cursed - not for the first time - his Irish complexion. "Why do all my friends have a Seamus-got-laid sixth sense?" he complained, though he was laughing as well as blushing. "Alright, yes, I have - but it was over a year before that. As you were all doubtless aware."

Dennis somehow got his hands free and Seamus was all but ready to give himself over to being tickled - when Dennis pushed his shirt up. Seamus bolted upright, pushing it back down and going pale, his mouth pinched. "Shut up," he hissed. His eyes darted around the room like a nervous prey animal. Susan, Dean, Ernie - all fine, but fuck, Bryn was here too and Dennis and now everyone was staring at him. He could feel the weight of their eyes and he forced himself to laugh - a sound that got stuck in the back of his throat.

It wasn't just the scar, though that was bad enough, it was his own overreaction. Dennis's words were running on repeat through his head and he couldn't decide whether they sounded more like mockery or pity, or which was worse. He glanced to Dean, to Dennis, back to Dean and finally back to Dennis. He should offer some kind of explanation - but the last thing he wanted to do was talk. "Need the loo," he muttered after what felt like an hour - and walked off before Dennis could react, his shoulders stiff as he held himself back from running to the door and slamming it behind him.

Dennis leant back, blinking as Seamus snarled at him. "Wha-" He blinked several times as Seamus looked around like a cornered animal, before eventually stalking off. He watched his friend walk off, still in shock. Obviously the scar was a sore point for some unfathomable reason, but Dennis was a bit hurt - actually, a lot hurt - at the way Seamus had walked away. He felt a tightness grow in his chest as he realised he'd somehow managed to push another important person away from him. He shut his eyes, furiously blinking back tears.

He was vaguely aware of Susan coming up to him and talking to him, patting his arm. He nodded mechanically at the appropriate intervals, not really hearing anything until she said "I don't know that Shay's wards will let you in the flat" which for some reason made him furious. Without saying a word, he disapparated to Rolf's flat.
