Thread: Marcus and Pansy Lunch Date
Who: Pansy and Marcus
What: Lunch and gossip
Where: Bella's, an Italian restaurant in Diagon Alley
When: Wednesday afternoon
Rating: Probably SFW

"...if I don't have those papers in my office by three o'clock, Morgan, I'll be very unhappy." Pansy's voice was pleasant on the surface, but only an idiot would miss the underlying threat. Pansy Parkinson was not a woman to make unhappy. She disconnected the Floo, and looked at the clock. "Nattie, I'm going to lunch. You'll stay here, and as soon as those papers come bring them to me."

The little House Elf nodded, and Pansy dismissed her. Marcus would be here soon, and she was looking forward to lunch. It had been too long since she'd taken time for herself; this Nimbus account was eating every moment of spare time she had, especially because she had to deal with imbeciles like Anthony Morgan, who thought because she had breasts he could try to undersell her. She was going to have his balls on a platter by the time she was done.

She checked her appearance one last time, satisfied that the cut and color of her recent acquisition suited her perfectly. She and Marcus would make a striking couple out to lunch, and appearance was everything. She smoothed a few stray hairs into place and touched up her lipstick just as the door opened and Marcus entered.

"Darling, prompt as ever," she said, and air kissed his cheek. "I made reservations for us, so they should have a table waiting when we arrive."

Marcus nodded at her explanation, because he was certain that Pansy was better equipped to handle and recognize those sorts of things than Greg, or even Marcus himself was. When he'd first moved into his flat, it had taken him almost a week to realize that having more than two towels might be prudent.

Although he was starving from morning practice, he had better manner than to just attack the food that was set in front of him, no matter how much he really would have liked to. Knowing that Pansy would go through with this housewarming thing if she'd already decided to do so, he asked, "So what did you have in mind?" Hopefully nothing that Greg would object to too terribly much.

"I'll let you know when I've decided on something appropriate," Pansy said with an amused grin. "I know you think I'll go overboard, but I do know Greg just as well as you do. He'll enjoy himself." That might be overstating things, but she'd make sure he was comfortable at least.

She took a dainty bite of her meal, followed it with a sip of wine. "I'll give him time to get settled in first, at the very least."

With a nod of his head, Marcus saved himself from answering by following her lead and taking a bite of his food.

"Well, in the highly unlikely event that you need any help, you know where to find me," he offered, though he didn't actually believe that Pansy would require any assistance with party planning.

"Thank you, darling. I do appreciate your willingness to indulge me." She smiled at him, knowing that neither Marcus nor Greg were the biggest fan of parties. It said a lot about their relationships that she was fully confident that they'd indulge her in this. She had wonderful friends.

Returning her smile, Marcus said lightly, "When have I ever not indulged you?" He might not have been particularly fond of large social gatherings, but he wouldn't go completely out of his way to avoid one, especially if Pansy was behind it on his cousin's behalf. And it would make her happy, which was always something he would support.
