RP: Stopping in
Who: Ginny (with cameos by Jane & Romilda), Charlie if he likes.
What: Ginny stops into Charlie's flat.
Where: Charlie & Romilda's flat.
When: Tuesday afternoon, Sept 22, 2005.
Rating: SFW, potential angst.

Ginny hadn't been feeling well. Her concentration had been off at work, she'd been ignoring Molly's floo calls, and she'd hardly eaten (even take out from the Pub, which is what had her flatmate Jane most worried). It was Tuesday morning before they headed to work at the pitch that Jane took her by the shoulders and angrily shook her, shouting that she needed to snap out of it and get her head straight or else. So Tuesday, after her last staff meeting of the day, Ginny went home to Monument Alley to change and then stopped by Sweet Nothings for a couple of cupcakes before she took her time walking to her brother Charlie's flat.

She knocked with a worried face, not sure if her brother would even be home, but when Romilda answered she gave the girl a small smile. "Hey," Ginny said, "Mind if I camp out for a while? I bring chocolate," she offered up a cupcake and Romilda smiled.

"Thank you!" She said, not questioning Ginny's reason for coming by as she opened the door and let the redhead in. "Chocolate is always welcome. As are you, obviously." Romilda and Ginny had never particularly liked each other in school - both having crushes on Harry and all that stupid childishness like love potions and gossip, and what with Ginny preoccupied with the war, of course - but since Romilda had moved in with the eldest Weasley, they'd come to not mind each other's company. Ginny still didn't understand how Romilda and Charlie worked as flatmates, but they seemed to, and that was what mattered.

Ginny took a seat on the couch in the livingroom and ate a cupcake herself, wondering if Charlie was home, if she should ask for him, if she should bother Romilda at all. But then Romilda waved and took her treat back into her bedroom and Ginny just leaned back, happy and relaxed to be in her brother's space. Maybe this was all she needed.

Gin looked up when she heard the door open and smiled a small, soft smile at Charlie, "Hey you," she said, happy she wasn't just a lump on his sofa and rather got to visit with him.

"I'm..." she shrugged, "A drink sounds good." She couldn't really say how she was doing, she knew she was sad, that she was going through the motions these days, but that didn't really seem like an answer.

He gave her a smile, it was obvious even to him that something was a bit off with her. Still, it was a rare day he couldn't raise a smile for family.

"Tea? Coffee? Something stronger?" he asked. "And am I rude if I make you get it while I go shower off the sweaty and gross?" he asked. "I mean, you don't want to hug me right now, believe me. And there's pasta bake in the oven which I might be persuaded to share," he said. He knew full well he'd happily share his meal with her, but it came out teasing nonetheless. "Promise I wouldn't be long." Well as long as he came back on crutches so he leg could be definitely dry before his put his prosthetic back on. If he bothered.
