Frankly, it felt odd to only be following Quidditch from the sidelines. Well, all right, in her professional career, Alicia had only followed Quidditch from the sideline, but she had been part of the team, responsible for their physical state an all that. But now she wasn’t. Now, she was a student, she was going to school, she was doing homework right along with her children and she was loving every moment of it.

Of course, it did put a damper on her mood that two of her best friends’ teams had lost this weekend, but with Angie around and her penchant for dancing, it had only felt natural for Alicia to go along those lines and take advantage of that.

She had slipped into the shiny black dress she had, and met up with the girls and had Apparated from the garden to the Apparation spot closest to Wingbeat.

The music was loud and imposing and just perfect. Though she knew that Adrian wouldn’t be around until later, she still looked around to see if she could spot him and before she knew they were by the bar.

“First round’s on me!” She announced, and waved for the bartender to get a tab started in her name.

Chris smirked at her, "I have no doubt you don't need the help," he shook his head with a dark chuckle. "And actually, we've met before," he cocked his head, "You flew against one of my best mates at Hogwarts. Cedric was my roomie," he explained.

"And I have to say, the Quidditch League is lucky to have you, I imagine you've only gotten better since school, and any team would be lucky to have you as their public face, if I may say so boldly," he looked her up and down with a friendly smile.

"We... ah. Sorry," she said, realisation setting in that she probably had known his face once upon a time. Less well than Cedric's. Thoughts of that murder and all of the lost potential always sobered her up for a few seconds. Her name had been in that Goblet too, after all. "Yeah, it's been a while though. Sorry I didn't remember you," she said. "Everyone looks so different now."

Another flirt, this was her lucky night. Even if it went nowhere flirting was excellent at making her feel good about herself. "You may indeed, sir," she said, amused by his formal words. "And yes, I got better. Took a while to work through to the main team, but it's a lot of fun with the hard work." There was no point being too modest when she'd worked her arse off to get where she was.
